Visual Perspectives: Time in Color: Emmanuelle Moureaux’s 100 Colors in Hong Kong At Central Yards in Hong Kong, Emmanuelle Moureaux’s 100 colors no.54 “FLOW” turns the passage of time into a physical installation. One hundred colors and suspended numbers trace the years 2027 through 2032, creating a sequence that changes as people move through the space. The numbers do not represent fixed points; instead, they overlap, appear, and disappear as shifting perspectives alter the visual rhythm. The permanent installation, completed in 2026, continues Moureaux’s 100 colors series, in which color is used as a three-dimensional element rather than simply applied to a surface. Located along a busy pedestrian route connecting Hong Kong’s Central district with the Central Ferry Piers, FLOW brings color, movement, and time into an everyday urban setting. For more information, visit EmmanuelleMoureaux.com. Photo by Hiroaki Zenke

Kim Jones made a surprise appearance in Hong Kong on Tuesday alongside Henderson Land’s chairman Martin Lee Ka-shing and wife Cathy Chui Lee to talk about his brand in more detail. Here’s a few bits of what was unveiled (full reporting on @voguebusiness) • • He wants it to be democratic. “I stopped working in luxury nearly a year and a half ago. One of the problems was the price points. When I started, it was actually quite affordable for young people to go and buy it. Now it’s not. So what I’ve worked to create is an aspirational brand.”  • • The designs are Asia-first. “One thing I noticed at lunchtime when I walk around Hong Kong is how many men wear suits. We’re looking at lightness. We’re looking at how to make someone feel really smart and proper, but comfortable too because of the heat.” • • There will be monthly drops at various price points ranging from furniture to fragrance. There will even be petwear, “because, you know, we’re all animal lovers.” A savvy decision given the booming pet business in Asia! • • The store is designed to reflect his home in London and will constantly change its look, turning shopping into an experiential event that cannot be replicated by online shopping or algorithms. “We’re making it a really functional space that can adapt because I think people, when they go shopping, they see the same things and can get bored.” • • When the boutique opens next year, Jones says he wants to stage a runway show in Hong Kong. “I’ve never been a snob. I like things to be for everyone. I think it’s important nowadays because everything is so segregated,” he says. “A lot of the world is pulling people apart. We want to pull people together.”  #KimJones #CentralYards
