Our team had an idea to do something different, to do something more on Christmas Day in Edinburgh. We need your help to make it happen.

The Venue is secured, our Team is mobilised, key Partners (@centresouthside and @thecrannie ) and Volunteers are ready, and we’ve sourced significant pro-bono support.

We are nearly at the finish line, but we need your to cross it.

The final piece of the puzzle is raising £6,500 to cover critical operational costs and ensure we can deliver a genuinely special day for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

We know times are tough, which is why your support means even more. Even a small donation makes a huge difference—it ensures we can provide warmth, food, community and dignity this Christmas.

Will you help us unlock the full potential of this day?

NEW CHRISTMAS DAY support in Edinburgh!

Launching on Monday 10th at 9pm - Communities at Christmas with our friends @centresouthside & @thecrannie

We have a venue.
We have our team, volunteers and partners.
We have a plan - Christmas dinner for 120 people experiencing homelessness. Support all day. Movies, games and fun.

Can you help us make this happen?

Email hello@simonscotland.org to arrange a chat. We would especially love to hear from companies who might be able to sponsor this day. #charity #homeless #edinburgh #hope #christmas

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the premiere screening of Solaris Mon Amour @solarismonamour and the Q&A with director Kuba Mikurda @kubamikurda held yesterday at Southside Community Centre in Edinburgh @centresouthside. The conversation offered a rich reflection on the archival legacy of the Łódź Educational Film Studio @wytworniafilmowoswiatowych, as well as the distinct artistic contributions of Laura Pawela whose visual compositions shaped its meditative rhythm, and Marcin Lanarczyk, responsible for the sound design.

Kuba, thank you for your time and for the insights that beautifully enriched the screening!

This event was supported by Film Hub Scotland @filmhubscotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland, National Lottery funding from the BFI, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh. Presented as part of the Beetroots Collective.
