Initial clock prototype is complete!

The body of this one is maple with some lovely dyed poplar veneer. Thick walnut veneer from @certainlywood.inc was used for the hands. And the mechanism is a silent Seiko; no loud ticking here.

Another great product from the Texas Woodworking Festival!

Greg with @certainlywood.inc showed us their flexible laser-cut veneers, designed to bend and conform while maintaining the look and character of real wood. These open up some interesting possibilities for architectural and decorative applications, especially custom acoustical panels.

A great combination of natural wood and design flexibility.

New veneer from @certainlywood.inc I’m teaching a Veneering for Furniture Makers session at @woodandshop later this week and I wanted some more interesting cathedral grained material for class. While I was there I picked up a “few” more things- eucalyptus, dyed woods, and a flitch of walnut just right for radial veneering. Now I need to find room to store it. #woodworkingclassesmarquetry #woodworkingclasses #saynotonakedfurniture

I love how the combination of the wild Walnut woodgrain and exotic looking grille cloth came together on this pair of Halford Loudspeakers Cerezos. #walnutwood #woodworking #hiendspeakers #studiomonitors

I just finished this lovely pair of Halford Loudspeakers Cerezos in Izombe. These speakers are quite efficient (92.5 dB 1W/1M) and are a very easy to operate 8 ohm impedance which allows them to match well with most any good sounding amplifier, regardless of power output. #hiendspeakers #singleendedtriode #izombewood #handcraftedspeakers

Something a little different eh? Pressed this juicy maple veneer last night and it came out great. Didn’t go with the regular substrates like Plywood or MDF. I stuck it to some hot rolled steel. More to come…
