28 was pretty great I must say 🙂‍↕️ my Saturn is returning, and it’s been so transformative.
Grateful for the medicine and lessons, the dances and the stillness.
Most importantly, I’m grateful to the people who continue to make this life worth living for me. I am nothing without the community of friends and loves near and far that I carry with me in my heart always.

EXQUISITE THINGS NYC launch at Books of Wonder was overwhelmingly wonderful. The biggest thanks to the book’s dream team (Megan, John, John in photo 1) and to literary hero David Levithan for agreeing to chat with me. If you care about book bans (you should) please follow the organization David helped start @authorsagainstbookbans. One of the most beautiful parts of the conversation was about how we each must think about what we can offer the world. Then do it.

So many people from my past were there and my heart was so full. My beloved Famille, my oldest young-at-heart friends, authors I long admired who have turned into peers, the agent who started my literary career (thank you @mitchellswaters), the Strasberg acting teacher who took me to see Angels in America in high school and organized a chat with Tony Kushner & the cast (changed my life, thank you Kevin), Iranians, Brazilians, Londoners, educators, new readers…

Song is by @neymatogrosso. The only thing more important than doing your part to free the world from authoritarianism and reading EXQUISITE THINGS is watching the Ney biopic @homemcomhofilme on Netflix immediately.

It was such an honor to do hair for the one and only @linedygenao ! She’s the kind of person who instantly makes you feel at ease, who brings this calm, powerful energy into every room.

Her smile is magic. Her presence is even better.
