On September 4 & 5, exhibiting artist Andy DuCett is hosting a workshop at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. In this two-day workshop, you will work directly with Andy DuCett, Senior Field Agent of the Center of Third Street Furtherings (CfTSF), as field agents. Your role as a field agent is vital and important. Participants will take the time to closely analyze Winona’s downtown and how it has evolved and changed in time, yet still holding on to its historic nature.

What becomes of your work you may ask.

The Center will review all submitted materials for potential inclusion in its ongoing publication series, presented as part of Andy DuCett’s exhibition “Home(town)”, on view September 12, 2026 through January 24, 2027, at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Selected works will be reproduced and disseminated as official CfTSF media through limited-edition drops distributed throughout the exhibition. Contributors whose work is selected will be credited as Field Agents within the exhibition.

You may also find yourself asking: Why should I enlist?

This is a rare and perfect opportunity to:

- Work directly with a MMAM exhibiting artist

- Learn how research, fiction, and material production intersect in contemporary art practice

- Develop new ways of seeing and interpreting place

 - Contribute to a living exhibition through your own creative output

The CfTSF cannot guarantee what you will find. Only that you will begin to notice it.

Man, I’m not really sure how to even talk about @eauxclaires last wknd. It’s been about a year and half in the making for those two amazing days to take place and it’s taken me a full week to comprehend what we accomplished. I’m incredibly proud of our team that we assembled, there’s no way anything happens without @christopherbartlettt @pastrami___ @cettdu @_benjaminpeterson @sarandipihty @spiderlibby @sneezingcow @adam_voith @michaelbrowndesign @linds_couture JJA, Brian, Mike @rayannelangdon @ivy_media @_soyr @grahamtlbrtfoto @nate_vrieze @ambientinks @cerdasignco @erictimothycarlson @rachelbhayes @erikelstran @benholmen @springerinn @hannahmaestudio @mount.whateverest @itsizzylugo @farewelltransmissionradio and @kewlcat13 for always supporting and listening 😘

When Justin asked me to take on the role as Creative Director I was incredibly honored, obviously, but also incredibly nervous. With such big shoes to fill after Michael Brown leading the way as the Creative Director for the first 4, an 8 year break from the previous fest, a new location, and a whole different aesthetic and approach from previous years…we had our work cut out for us. We began ideating after basketball last winter over some beers, which led to more beers and express games in the summer. Sitting in the stands, looking out imagining how it would look and feel. If you build, will they come sort of questions. And making sure things felt more approachable and intentional. We thought the best way to do that was to look inward, to our community, and to celebrate what makes Eau Claire Eau Claire and hope that people would hop on board with what we were trying to do. Activate the city. Bring people in. Truly try to make it Eaux Claires “Days” instead of just Eaux Claires Festival. Y’all came! Y’all showed up and the love has definitely been felt. I heard nothing but positive things at the fest and online, which is wild. It’s made the hours put into it worth it. I learned a lot stepping into this new role about myself and about being on a bigger team than my usual two man team with @knorth_studios . There’s definitely room for growth for me, but in the best way. Thanks for riding along with us!

I have so much to say and share about this weekend and how much it meant to me to be back at @eauxclaireswi after all these years. It’s an absolute privilege to capture it and show everyone what this has always been about - collaboration, music, art, community, and discovery.

So much more to come as I sort through and pick my favorite moments to share.

Thank you to @thecurrent for having me, and for the collaboration with @radiomilwaukee and @convergemediaec
