Twilight part 3. I wasn’t working for anyone this year, so I just took pictures for my own amusement (and likely the next book). Also, this year felt like a changing of the seasons, because there were very few people in the race that I had overlapped with. The only riders I wanted to make sure I got were @kendall_ryan92 and @louieschramm21. Other than that, I just wanted to get pictures of my town experiencing joy. I’ve loved bikes since I was four, but Twilight is what got me on a drop bar bike. I’m so grateful for this race and this very special town.

He loved so instantly, so wholly, so purely, and so unconditionally. He healed me in ways I never thought possible. I would frequently say he taught me how to love something again— and while that lesson may be true, I think he came to me to show me I am worthy of receiving love, too. No strings attached. He gave me so many gifts, apart from his constant companionship and affection, the biggest being Chris. It has been a joy to share him with so many of you. Your kindness made him the happiest dog possible. Though I am shattered, I am also so eternally thankful for his existence. 11 years of profound love undoubtedly will leave profound grief in its wake and he was worth every dang second of it. His name was Gus and there will never be another one like him. ❤️🥹

Had the BEST time in this weekend with @cfowells! Asheville is beautiful and has amazing food, the Biltmore is super festive right now, Chris is frustratingly good at BurgerTime and life is pretty damn good❤️
