What a beautiful three days with such inspiring, curious, and passionate people!

It’s a true privilege to witness how much growth can happen in such a short time — many of the students had never sculpted a portrait before, and their progress was incredible.

Weekends like this inspires me in ways that are hard to put into words. Thank you to my amazing students for your effort, energy, and all-around epic-ness.

Over at @themountlenox, fiber artist @rbcohen11 will be teaching a fun, one-day “Branch Weaving” workshop! Branch weaving using a Y-shaped stick is a creative way to incorporate nature into one’s weaving. The branch chosen creates the structure As part of the process, you will get to forage for natural materials and integrating them into your weaving. This is a wonderful way to connect with nature and create unique, organic art pieces! With the purchase of tuition, students are invited to stay on-site at The Mount and will have access to the Main House following the workshop as well as a complimentary ticket to the afternoon’s lecture, “Page Dickey | Uprooted: A Gardener Reflects On Beginning Again” starting at 3pm.

Students with all levels of experience are welcome to join our “Figure Painting Workshop” with figurative painter @chalicemitchell in our Stockbridge studios! In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn the basics to painting the human body including proportion, anatomy, and color mixing. Instruction will be given through demos and one-on-one guidance. Our Art Show is always a wonderful celebration of the culmination of their artwork over the school year. It tells a story of each child’s journey through the world of art. Our families enjoyed seeing the carefully curated bodies of work by our amazing art teacher J and our Gallery Manager and Instructor at the LDG, Chalice Mitchell. The show is up until next Wednesday 💜 #preschool #reggioinspired #art #artintheberkshires
