What are you dipping in that fondue first?! Crusty bread or herby potatoes? 🤗

We had such a PERFECT experience at Chester’s (newly reopened) Champagne + Fromage on Watergate Street. This warm & cosy place is ran by the most lovely couple, Caroline and Kyle and as cheesy as it sounds, you feel right at home from the minute you walk in 🤗

This location originally opened in December 24 but after a short break, it’s back under new management from September this year 🔑

Champagne & Fromage originally opened in Covent Garden, London back in 2011 and since become a global institution. They source their products exclusively from independent producers in France 🇫🇷

They offer a bunch of food options including bar snacks, nibbles, salads, desserts, sharing boards and more. Here’s what we went for 👇

🍖 Duo Special Sharing Board - Selection of French artisan cheeses & cured meats imported weekly from France and served with French baguette and condiments. This board has 2 cheeses, 2 cured meats and perfect between 2 - £25
🫕 Fondue - A rich blend of Emmental, Comté, and Gruyère melted with garlic and white wine. Served with roasted potatoes and baguette - £23pp
🥂 PG Origine £13.50
🍷 A carafe of Rosé (£22-£29)
🍷 A glass of red wine (£6-8)

I couldn’t imagine a more cosy autumnal evening than sharing a deliciously warm & luxurious fondue with your nearest and dearest, borrowing one of their snuggly blankets if you’re a bit chilly and sipping a rich French red while you dip away at the bubbling cheese to your heart’s content 🧀

We loved our visit here and honestly couldn’t recommend enough, we’ll be visiting for a tipple at the very least whenever we visit Chester ❤️
