Happy wedding day to Emily and Antonio! What a beautiful and energetic celebration. The music was incredible—I need the DJ’s set ASAP!

The cats being included in the templates and props made everything so special. It’s those thoughtful details that we love, because they help include the ones we love and keep close to our hearts.

Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and unforgettable memories! 🤍

SUMMER’S OVER. BACK IN MY BAG. ♟️

First single from ‘TPOLI VOL.2: COURSE CORRECTION’ drops at midnight.

If you’ve been here since VOL.1, you already know what to expect from this collaboration with a collaboration that’s grounded in @ghostownrecordz production.

‘PENSION’, produced by @jake.etc.etc.etc.etc sets the tone as the opening track and a first glimpse into the four-track EP.

Where VOL.1 of this series was about identifying and discovering a new approach to the craft, VOL.2 is about making the necessary adjustments to let that approach flourish. Same principles. Sharper execution. Course correction.

‘PENSION’ out at midnight. Full EP live on all platforms Monday, October 19th.

@itzcrooksbaby x @jake.etc.etc.etc.etc, via @ghostownrecordz

Mixed, Mastered & Refined by @ericgordon93 via @addikproductions. 🎛️

S/o to @urbnet & @fontananorth for the partnership of this release.

Shoutout to @morganobrien, via @morganobrien.ca on the cover art and her assistance throughout this series. 🖌️🎨🖼️

Sincerely,
CROOKS

This past week was another one with Toronto-heavy plans!

Highlights include:

🍽️ dinner at @chanteclerto - their beef tartare, potato darphin, cavatelli & duck confit, and duck breast (not pictured), were tremendous (they’re likely in my top 3 favourite restaurants in Toronto right now)

🍦enjoying the last week of soft serve at @roselle_to - their banana pudding parfait was so yum, their corn cake ice cream sammie I grabbed for the way home was INCREDIBLE, and their bacon, jalepeno, and corn galette was the perfect lunch today

💐 a Saturday swap event hosted by @stephhgracep - I made polymer clay magnets for the first time, and everyone did such an amazing job on their items!!

🎤 seeing @jamiemiller open for the Jonas Brothers, as in I went to see only him, and left immediately after that before the Jonas Brothers even came on stage lmao - THE MAN CAN SING, PEOPLE - also as a fun fact this is the second time I’ve gotten tickets to a concert to see only the opener (first one was seeing Natasha Bedingfield open for Meghan Trainor)

I’ve done about a dozen collab dinners by now, and 86% of the time, they’re exciting—two restaurants, one dinner and a menu you’ll never get again.

If you get the chance to experience a collab dinner, do it.

The latest was between @contrada.to and @chanteclerto and it was delicious. Here’s what I ate:

1. Brioche by Chantecler
Honey-glazed, with Contrada’s cacio e pepe butter… that butter.

2. Squab by Chantecler
Bacon wrapped ballotine, foie gras, blackberry jus. That rich and glossy jus was the star of this dish.

3. Trout by Contrada
Ontario trout almondine, salmoriglio. Crispy flaky fish in a lemony herb sauce.

4. Fazzoletti by Contrada
Mussel espuma, persillade, shrimp & cannellini ragu. Briny, garlicky and silky, with sweet shrimp and creamy beans. 10/10

5. Duck by Chantecler
Dry aged duck, twice-cooked sunchokes, duck confit croquette, jus. Rich, savoury, almost decedent.

6. Tart by Contrada
Torta della nonna, frangipane, citronelle gelato. Just the right amount of sweetness, very almondy cut with a creamy citrusy scoop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Thank you to the entire @chanteclerto team.

And thank you, above all, to Lif’s cowboy hat, which did not ask to be here but added a lot to the night.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
