Chapter One ✨ Depoe Bay, Oregon Open 4p - 9p Thursday - Sunday Closed Monday - Wednesday 🍸 A newly opened space in Depoe Bay is Chapter One! Open for late lunch - dinner. Their menu is inspired by the Pacific Northwest with some of the ingredients even locally foraged (with a permit of course). The inside is very French-speakeasy vibes. 🐟 I wanted (and still do want) to try as much on the menu as possible, because this classy little restaurant is also currently 100% gluten free! Every single food menu item is available for those that are Ceilac friendly! Naturally, we ordered a lot… 🌊 The plates are definitely shareable. That’s my favorite: family style when trying a new menu. A round of drinks for the table included a classic dirty martini (Tito’s Vodka) and Jameson neat. We ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Steak Frites, Crispy Mushrooms, and Gnocchi Bolognese for our main meals. Dessert was Crème Brûlée and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The crispy mushrooms are locally foraged and assorted - so freaking delicious that I ordered another to go! I knew I would get home and want another bite. I personally loved all of it! 🦀 If you know Depoe Bay, you already know the parking situation; most likely you’ll find a spot and have to walk from there. There is a small public parking lot behind the restaurant. @chapteronepnw #oregoncoastfood #depoebayoregon #glutenfreefood #glutenfreemenu #eatlocal

Yesterday was another beautiful day filled with good people and great memories! As well as amazing whales. My favorite Morissa with her calf Nebula, as well as Door Knob with a yet to named named calf. It was so cool to watch them all day from my Airbnb’s and then see them close up on the boat. As well as seeing them in the evening spouts everywhere, flukes in the air. I love it here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars for Chapter One in Depoe Bay — and honestly, if I could hand out Michelin stars, they’d be on the list. I was photographing their soft launch and had the rare privilege of watching the kitchen prep, while tasting a few dishes, and seeing the whole team in action. The carnitas de seco tacos stopped me in my tracks — moist, smoky, and paired with an aji crema that was unlike anything I’ve ever had. Carnitas tacos are my go‑to favorite, and these were exceptional. The Midsummer Salad was another surprise: bright, fresh, layered, and dressed with a lovely vinaigrette. I also loved the marbled potatoes, and their chips and salsa were so fresh it felt like the ingredients had been foraged that morning — which, honestly, they probably were. Ollie’s local foraging touches shine through the menu. Chefs Randy, Mason, and Ollie ran the kitchen like a well‑oiled machine — clean, organized, calm, and wildly talented. And Josh and Julia led the front-of-house with warmth and professionalism that elevated the whole experience. If this was the soft launch, I cannot wait to see where Chapter One goes. I’ll absolutely be back. Need some social media content for your growing business?
