this has been such an amazing year & i feel so lucky to be surrounded by the most incredible people & books, my love for reading has truly been brought back to life through this 🥹

finished Drowned in the Name of Love by @writtenbyruts.diaz last week, first read and first five stars of the year! but other than that, i haven't picked up a thing since christmas. wait actually i started reading the Trials of Apollo but i find Apollo/Lester so infuriating that i can't read more than five pages at a time

Harry, Ethel, Ha Vay, Ashe... new Erin LeCount, Heated Rivalry Soundtrack, the likes.

i mean... obviously Heated Rivalry. Harry announcing new stuff??? Mitski just announced an album? everyone is being active and cryptic and my wallet is screaming for help!

Heated Rivalry to anyone who hasn't watched the show, read the books, listened to the soundtrack, read the fanfics, watched the interviews, come to love Hudcon........

what a year! last year, this time 'round, i had a feeling that 2025 will bring lots of changes and be an impactful time of my life. i wasn't just right—i was dead on. never could i have anticipated the things, people, and places i experienced, visited, went through, came to love or hate. i have both been in the highest and lowest places through the course of this year (whiplash i swear), and had to find out and come to terms with things about myself.

here are my highlights of the year, neatly summarized;

all things considered, i really liked 2025. i can't deny that for the most part of it, i have felt most like myself in a way i never have before, even when it was uncomfortable at times. for the new year, i aspire to stay true to myself and continue chasing that feeling of belonging and self until i don't have to anymore.

but so happy to hop on to this trend! it's so creative, i love it. also i love adding more than the necessary amount of stickers to any collage. i love stickers. definitely could've added more around the palette

The seven deadly sins tag

@thiefofmemory tagged me in this wonderful challenge and I had a lot of fun with it!

Wrath
I disliked these books for various reasons. I felt as if supper club barely cracked the potential it had and I wanted more focus on the relationships between the female members of the club and less commentary on the everyday actions of the main character and the male relationships in her life. I have posted about this previously but motherthing showcased a very harmful depiction of borderline personality disorder, leaning into harmful stereotypes and while I enjoyed part of Just Like Home, I just felt like the ending didn’t live up to the rest of the novel.

Gluttony
I could devour these books time and time again and come away changed each time.

Lust
I bought these books because they appealed both visually and in the fact that they sparked my interest. The stunning covers left me no choice.

Sloth
I have owned all of these books since I was 16 and have yet to pick them up. Mostly because I feel like I am never mentally stable enough for them at any given time but we will get there someday. I have started rant various times so thats a win isnt it?

Pride
Long, intimidating books. Babel is so worth the read. I’ll pick up the other two from their tower of books someday, I swear.

Envy
I just want to escape into these worlds and vibes.

Greed
I own four copies of gallant, three of divine rivals and three of masters of death. Shall we add more to the collection?
