Halifax Jazz Fest - Year 3 ❤️‍🔥🎷
Wow, my heart is full of love. Thank you so much to every single person who came out to support, said hello, enjoyed live music, fresh food, warm sun, or coastal air - I am beyond grateful for you.

Being with @hfxjazzfest for the third year, I cannot express how much love and fulfillment this special festival brings. Especially when @menitrust, one of my favourite artist’s, was announced as a headliner, I was shaking in my boots! 🙈 I also adore working on the Halifax Waterfront, as I get to meet so many wonderful people, local or from afar, that have so many unique stories to share! Thank you to all the staff members, volunteers, and artists who make this show possible for us all! 🌟🌎❤️

As I expand Crystal Core Jewellery to Crystal Core Creations, bridging the mystical crystal jewellery to surrealist visual art, I feel SO supported by this community. To every friend, customer, follower, family member, you are my reason! I love and appreciate you. And I cannot wait to see how things evolve.🌀💫🦅

Eagle of Vision 🦅❤️‍🔥👁️‍🗨️🌀

In August, I went to Future Forest for the first time… and honestly, it transformed me. All weekend I felt connected to the spirit of a bird — specifically an eagle — following intuition, shifting places, meeting new people, and letting myself be guided.

The red + blue polarity (Divine Feminine + Divine Masculine) revealed itself so strongly, and I realized how deeply those colours speak through my art.

On our last day, while cooling off in the river, I realized that a tapestry I had made months earlier was actually a premonition of the festival experience — it depicted the full moon above Future’s iconic river and used the festival’s exact colours, 3 months before I even knew Future Forest existed. Then Melissa noticed a piece of driftwood floating by, which instantly connected everything, because I had been searching specifically for driftwood to finish that tapestry.
Right after this realization, my friend Hunter spotted two eagles soaring above us. It genuinely felt like we were speaking with Spirit. When we returned to our site, Melissa found a 12-inch eagle feather. Pure magic.

The intuitive, scribble-like marks on both sides were created in flow state and act as the subconscious language. Lines extend into single strands that meet at the spine, spiral upward, and enter the Eye of Vision — the third eye, intuition, and the eagle’s heightened sight. The red and blue merge within the iris before extending outward again, completing a cycle of receiving and releasing subconscious information. Yellow and green bridge these dual energies.

Eagle of Vision explores polarity, insight from the subconscious mind, the power and freedom that comes out of surrendering to one’s intuition, and the balance between divine masculine and feminine energies that shape our actions, whether we’re aware of them or not. 👁️‍🗨️

It all started when I obsessively watched The Little Mermaid repeatedly at four years old. Once I got a pencil in my hand, the mermaid drawings began. Then of course, H2O Just Add Water deepened my love for mermaids, along with the idea of mystical powers. As little girls, friends and I were making salt potions, following YouTube videos on “how to become a mermaid”. Don’t forget The Fin Fun Mermaid Tail at 9 years old and Seven Super Girls… I BEGGED my father to get one for me. That special delivery brought young Char so much happiness. And with so much pride, she took it to Cole Harbour Place and swam in the open lanes. Little girls would come up to me, asking if I was a real mermaid, to which I would happily reply “yes, yes I am” and continue my dolphin swim. Going to Disney World, I picked out this Arial picture frame and an Arial keychain (which has been on my keys since 2013). The picture frame has been empty for years now, because of the pressure of choosing the right photo for such a monumental frame. Just a few months ago, it came to me that my inner child and sister deserve their place. 🧜‍♀️

This photoshoot pays homage to my lifelong obsession with mermaids, the uncanny, as well my jewellery creations, and my love for costume and photography. ⭐️

A moment for the inner child who loves to create fantasy. ❤️‍🩹

Introducing the well-awaited Siren Photoshoot. 💫 A vision of this necklace hit me two months ago and I couldn’t help but make a whole production out of it. Using my childhood mermaid tail, these photos are inspired by Char’s inner child and her love for creating fantasy. 🐚
