Next up on our HOW TO: NYC series is OC Chara’s guide to discounted theatre experiences around nyc!

A message from Chara: Hello friends!! My name is Chara, and I am a rising junior majoring in film and television (with a concentration in television) and a minor in theatre. On campus, I serve as the Vice President of Splinter Group (@splintergrouplc), FCLC’s student run musical theatre club! #bestcluboncampus

I am so very excited to welcome you all to campus on August 22nd!

I wanted to give a little more info about what lottery / rush is cause i realize i never really explained the differences between them lol

rush: bought in person at the box office when it opens OR online/in app (todaytix or telecharge) usually around 9:00 AM; theses are first-come, first-served and the if you’re first in line / are fast enough online, you will receive the discounted tixs

lottery: depending on the show, individuals are drawn the day the performances or sometimes a few hours before the show. you enter lotteries for shows via telecharge, broadway direct, or lucky seat; winners are chosen at random so its basically pure luck (but i have won the lottery multiple times so its not too scary!)

if you have any more questions about theatre discounts or orientation in general feel free to email mailto:orientlc@fordham.edu or dm me personally @charablagrove

see you all soon!!!!!!

Stay tuned for more guides about city activities!
