"The children we serve need more. Educators must advocate for their students as much as possible. Educators must be held accountable for students' success. Educators must lead with their actions." - Eric Hale's keynote address was full of heart and passion.

He shared his inspiring story and love for education, while getting all of us involved and engaging with one another. He set the tone for our Leadership Symposium - it is all about community and being #UnitedByPurpose. What an incredible first night!

Our annual #LeadershipSymposium starts now! This year’s theme is #UnitedByPurpose. A call to stand together as a network and coalition of public education advocates, rerooting in our connections with one another. Welcome school leaders!

Some team members from the @charlesbuttfdn & @raiseyourhandtexas wore maroon today to support the community of Uvalde, especially their teachers and students, as they returned for their first day of school. We continue to send them love, strength and hope for this next year. #UvaldeStrong

Welcome to my teaching page! I’m Ms. Z. I made this page as a way for my students to stalk me (not literally…) and to keep up with me, since I moved, and for others to keep up with how my life as a teacher is going! For now, here’s a few pics from the first CB Symposium and the symposium from this summer. I took cringey mirror pics both years, so I figured I’d keep the tradition!

I’ll miss my juniors so much! PSA, if none of y’all invite me to graduation, I’ll be upset 👀

The Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation recently launched to help fund and build a new elementary school campus for this community where students and families need to start building a new legacy of resilience, hope, and opportunity. You can help by visiting UvaldeCISDMovingForward.org and donating in honor of those who were taken too soon, and those who still need to know brighter days are ahead. Please share this with your friends and family, and let’s show up big and help Uvalde heal. #UvaldeStrong

When Texans are hurting, Texans are helping. And that's when healing starts. Today our founder, Charles Butt, alongside the Butt family and @heb are leading the way in establishing a foundation to fund the construction of a new elementary campus in Uvalde, Texas. The Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation, a nonprofit charitable trust, will be accepting donations, starting today. The new elementary campus will also be realized through the generosity of @huckabeeinc and @joerisgc, two Texas companies donating their architectural and construction time and talent to the project. #UvaldeStrong

A link to the Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation website, where anyone can make a donation, is included in the comments.

Last week we had an incredible time at The Principals’ Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (@harvardeducation) with 39 educators representing 18 districts & 1 charter school from across Texas.

Attendees, including individual principals as well as campus teams, participated in week one of two weeklong workshops on leadership development, coaching, or school turnaround led by Harvard faculty and other national and international experts. Each program is designed to inspire, challenge, and empower school leaders to bring lasting impact to their campuses and communities, the entire state of Texas, and beyond.

Through the Raising School Leaders program, an initiative designed to develop stronger school leaders who will enhance the quality of education across Texas, more than 1,400 educators have attended the Harvard summer institutes.

I went to the CBF Scholars Symposium this weekend it was wonderful! I am so glad that I got to meet so many other educators and learn so many new things. It was so amazing to be around other teachers who have the same passion for education as I do! Thank you @charlesbuttfdn for having me and I can’t wait for next year! #newteacher
