Bringing our Bulldog community together, one taco at a time! UMD Dining was excited to partner with Chancellor Nies for a special Chef Spotlight featuring his very own fish taco recipe, made with Skuna Bay Salmon! A big thank-you to Skuna Bay for collaborating with us and providing the chef-quality salmon featured in this special dish. Skuna Bay takes pride in hand-selecting, hand-cleaning, and carefully inspecting its salmon, while prioritizing sustainable farming practices. Events like these are a great reminder that food is about more than what’s on the plate. From sharing Chancellor Nies’ recipe to highlighting the ingredients and partners that make it possible, these experiences create opportunities to celebrate campus partnerships and bring our Bulldog community together. We’re grateful to Chancellor Nies and the Skuna Bay team for helping make this event special. Together, we’re creating meaningful experiences that make UMD feel like home. ❤️💛 #UMDDining #BulldogPride #UMDCommunity #ChefSpotlight #SkunaBaySalmon Chancellor Nies, wearing a maroon cap and apron with purple gloves, stands beside a table of prepared fish tacos during the Chef Spotlight event.

DR is looking for feedback for a privacy pod concept on campus! The privacy pods would be available to all students as a quiet space to conduct telehealth appointments, decompress and unmask after classes, and study in a distraction free environment. Scan the QR code for more information and to complete our one question survey! Thank you! A promotional flyer with a red-and-white design asks for feedback about placing an accessible, noise-dampened privacy pod on campus. The left side contains the question, “Would you use a privacy pod (accessible, noise dampened room) placed on campus for your access needs?” above a photograph of a dark, multi-compartment privacy pod with a wheelchair visible inside one section. The right side prominently displays “We need your FEEDBACK!” followed by instructions to scan a QR code and complete a one-question survey. A red “SCAN ME!” panel points toward the QR code. The bottom identifies the initiative as “UMD Campus Pod” and includes a UMD Disability Resources logo.
