40 years into this wild journey and I’ve learned that girlhood is a permanent membership. 💕

And, okay, I have a lot of really amazing Kens around too. A coordinated surprise cake dance!? I feel LOVED.

I didn’t plan a single part of this party and got to show up and be with some of my favorite humans.

Let people help you.
Let people love you.
Be vulnerable.
Tell people you love them.

Celebrate every chance you get. 💕

HALLOWEEN 2025! 🧸🎈🍯

“So they went off together. But wherever they go, and whatever happens to them on the way, in that enchanted place on the top of the Forest, a little boy and his Bear will always be playing”. -A.A. Milne

A few weeks ago, we had the BEST day celebrating Charles turning 40! 🥳 While I didn’t manage to get photos of everyone (or a single shot of the infamous Charles Jeopardy game I made 🙃), we are beyond grateful. Our village means the world to us, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated this milestone surrounded by people we love. ❤️

Family appreciation post! I love my huge family. (If you don’t know, my dad is one of nine kids!) We are super crazy, but it’s hard to fully understand me without seeing us all together laughing in our chaos. Over 33 of us went to Hawaii (yes we are a loud and overwhelming group 🤣), but we had the trip of a lifetime together. I will never take this time for granted and I’m so SO happy my girls get to experience all the love, meals, and family time. 🧡💛🩵

The kids had a blast at the Storm Stadium Halloween Festival! They saw Uncle Charles stay in the pocket, rode rides, horses and won inflatables!! INFLATABLES!!

Happy Birthday to the man who takes all my crazy ideas and brings them to life, keeps us (very well) fed, makes me beautiful things out of thin air, and loves and lifts up our house of strong-willed women daily. We are not an easy group; this is no small feat. We love you so much.

We hope the next year is full of better wood prices, epic disc golf wins, zero callouses from playing bass, and more of the best meals you’ve eaten. 🩷🩷🩷

Clava Cairns! These circular chamber tombs were incredibly majestic in an area already rich with legends and supernatural tales. (The highlands are pretty epic.) They date back to 2000 BC and are a complex arrangement of passage graves, cairns, and standing stones. Their purposes aren’t completely understood, but the stones create incredible alignments for the sun during solar events multiple times a year. (And yes, they inspired Craigh Na Dun !) 🩶🪦🌫️🌤️

P.s. I’m still posting about Scotland because 1) I am almost done documenting the best trip 2) I miss our travel family clan 3) I am rewatching Outlander and 4) I’m still quite jet lagged inexplicably. 😝

I’m still not ready to put it behind me. We had an incredible trip all across Scotland for almost 2 weeks. We got to experience the entire trip with our incredibly close (basically family) friends The Ringgers. Traveling with 4 kids - ages 2-9 is never easy, but they all had a blast. They got to run and eat ice cream, and we got to drink and eat. I hate traveling, because at some point it’s over. This trip was extra special in every way. Can’t wait to fly off again. Or just move. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Our last day in Scotland was so jam-packed I gotta do two posts! We went to the William Wallace Monument and saw his freaking sword! We walked the 250 feet to the top and looked around at the battleground of Stirling and even saw Robert the Bruce’s sword! ARE YOU READY FOR A WAR?!

Just an absolute legendary birthday spent in Scotland. Bottled my own whisky, went horseback riding with @samskyemclaughlin through the Highlands (holy shit), went to the cairns that inspired Outlander and the kids crossed over (in my mind), walked the battle grounds of Culloden, and capped it off at this incredible hotel overlooking this beautiful Loch and having a gorgeous dinner with friends that are family and an insane amount of scotch. Single malt. Don’t be dumb.
