A sling shot Charli and I made over the summer. Regret leaving it behind and not documenting it in action before Cass got his hands on it. Do not regret this collaboration and playing in the dirt with my boiii⛏️

The House Arts Collective present:
“This House Has Hands” a Glasgow Art Weekend all-day closing party and performance extravaganza

——————————————————

What’s that I hear in the distance?

Approaching trumpeters? Magnificent fireworks display? A giant’s tummy rumbling hungry for fun? It must be the parade of talented performers coming to celebrate at Munn’s Vault 2pm-midnight this Sunday the 20th of September!

One thing we have learnt from running our community space in Maryhill over the course of the last three years is that many hands make light work. And boy you betcha we’ve got hands! Twenty pairs of them to be precise. And on Sunday these hands will be going wild, acting in ways you’ve never seen before, they’re just itching for fun! The tomato-breaking cake-leaking baby-making kind of fun!!

We have built an outdoor stage and invited 20 performers young and old, first-timers and pros, some soulful, some chuckleworthy, and some just simply bizarre. Expect acrobatics, magic, music, stand-up, improv, tap dancing, and much much more. We have a jampacked schedule running from two till midnight and we can guarantee there will be something for everyone. Running alongside the performances will be karaoke inside from 5-9pm and DJs performing from 10-12pm.

Tickets are found in The House and Healthy insta bios and are available on a sliding scale from £5 for those who plan to just pop in or are skint, £7 to stay a couple hours and £10 for the whole extravaganza!

Munn’s Vault is a cash-only pub so please bring bills (although there’s a cash machine across the road too if you forget).

Let’s have a drink and celebrate three years of the House and the start of events at Munn’s Vaults insane beer garden!

Love,
the House (and its many hands) 🙌🏽

earlier in the summer, ruth introduced skowhegan as something less like an object and more like the weather — because you’re in it, you can’t understand it. she was right. thank you for an incredible summer @skowheganart
i am grateful to have spent my summer learning, making, laughing and loving with amazing faculty, staff and participants that inspired me everyday ♥️

Featured in Gender Stories at Walker Art Gallery, @charlikleem’s Gun rack (2025) explores themes of trans-hypermasculinity, craft and the cultural presentation of violence. Through sculpture, Kleeman examines how masculinity is constructed, performed and displayed, inviting viewers to question familiar ideas about gender, identity and power. In this article, Charli invites a 13-year-old to interview them about the sculpture, discussing the inspirations behind Gun rack, their creative process and the conversations they hope the work will spark.

A wooden art installation features a complex arrangement of glass tubes and red liquid flowing through flexible tubes. The setup is mounted on a wooden frame with metal brackets, creating a visually intricate network. The bottom of the image includes the text "In focus Charli Kleeman" over a gray gradient.
