Rain had its own plans on this May wedding day, and the mountain still delivered magic. The ceremony moved into our pavilion, vows exchanged with the sound of rain on the roof and mist rolling over the ridgeline just beyond the open sides. The reception carried the celebration into our reception hall, full of warmth, laughter, and dancing long into the evening.

These photos are all about the details that made the day so beautifully theirs, the florals, the decor, the small touches that turned a rainy forecast into a soft, romantic backdrop. Every arrangement, every table setting told its own piece of the story.

Weather doesn't write the ending. Love does. And this day was proof that a little rain only adds to the poetry of it all.

Two years ago today, our Gracie married the love of her life right here at Appalachian View! 🥂

Before she was a bride walking down our aisle, she was part of our team, so getting to watch her say "I do" in the place she poured her heart into was a full circle moment we'll never forget.

Happy anniversary, Gracie and Luke! Here's to two years of marriage and many, many more. We love you both so much. Cheers to you, beautiful! 🎉

A little boho, a little moody, and so perfectly fall 🤎

This wedding had such a special feel — warm autumn tones, organic textures, dried elements, and florals that fit the setting perfectly.

This is only a little glimpse, and we already can’t wait to share more from this beautiful day 🍂

Jordan.
Emily.

My cheeks hurt from smiling and giggling as I edited my way through their sneak peeks.

I mean!!!

Can you see the joy and the happiness written all over both Jordan and Emily’s face!?

These two smiled and laughed literally all day and every time they looked at each other, they smiled even bigger and even more.

Outside of one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have gotten to witness, my favorite part of their day was when I was doing portraits of Emily along the creek and seeing the admiration and the love in Jordan’s eyes everytime that he looked at his bride. At one point I had him come stand behind her to take it all in and she just giggled and asked if she was the apple of his eye.

Does it get any sweeter than that!?

Ahhh what a good day last Tuesday was!!
