Our First Shop | 1000 sq/ft

Deanna and I built this shop out from scratch..just the two of us..during the height of Covid on nights & weekends while still holding down our day jobs.

Even though we did not have any work established yet..we were driven to get something set up for when the time came..we'd be ready.

It took a few months after acquiring this shop to sell our first kitchen cabinet build.

It was that one project I knew would require my full attention and decided then and there to quit my day job and give this business a shot full time.

With no real work lined up after that kitchen..I knew it would cover atleast 3 months of expenses. So I took that leap of faith and thought..I have 3 months to sell another project..and never looked back..

Here we are almost 7 years later..
What a ride it has been.

Nowadays our business name has changed to:
Live Oak Fine Cabinetry & Millwork, Inc.
@live_oak_cabinetry

But, we are still one and the same.

Family Owned & Operated

Taking a moment to appreciate how far we've come!
Thanks to everyone who has helped us get here. 🙏

When you are a family owned & operated business..there is no overtime. We are ALL IN and do what it takes to get the job done.

Some people come & go..they just can't hang. It's not their fault..they just don't have it in them.

But us two..we are in this together..a shared vision.

Thanks to @chasemissd @cuttothechasewoodcraft for always being there 🙏💚❤️

Taking Possession of the New Shaper!

Deanna and I took a little field trip out to the Felder Warehouse today to pick up the new Shaper.

Super excited about this machine!
It has been a long time coming.

Happy National Woodworking Month! 🪵✨

They say money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy lumber, and that’s pretty much the same thing. 😊💸

Trivet Class | March 2025

Last March..one year ago today..we hosted a WoodWorking Class at our shop.

The class was promoted and put on by:
The Local Trade Marin @thelocaltrademarin

For some people who attended..this was their first experience with WoodWorking! Seeing people light up and get the WoodWorking bug was very inspiring & rewarding!

It was a great experience for all.
And what better way to meet new people and join in community.. all with one goal in mind: To create cool stuff, share in experience, and learn new things.

Looking forward to doing it again.
