It was awesome running into @flomounier + @voxandhops of @cryptopsyofficial ! I ran into each while walking up to the venue last night. They were amazing to see + hear in a ballroom setting! Prior I’ve only seen them in small metal clubs, so their sound was turned all the way up! I wound up running into Flo + Matt again after the show. Even though I got a photo with Flo at dingbatz last year, I wanted to get one together with my friend @chaseschiefer . Around 2002/2003 we were constantly playing ‘whisper Supremacy’, ‘and then youll beg’ and ‘none so live’. With that in mind, it was a real treat seeing Flo still pushing brutal technical death metal all these years later. A true pioneer 🤘They had a lot of great merch but I wound up getting ready for summer with a sick logo hat, and gym shorts ☀️

Now this was a great surprise! Me + @chaseschiefer got to meet @longstrethjohn ! When we were young, Origin were pioneers in bringing tech death to the next frontier! We got to see them a few times when they were touring for ‘Informis Infinitas Inhumanitas‘. They even played Club Krome + Birch Hill + L’Amours which are all venues that sadly don’t exist no more. This great moment started all because we wanted a photo with @flomounier but he suggested that “..John of Origin should take our pic”. Chase replied “JOHN LONGSTRETH?!?!” 😆🤘 After he took our photo with Flo, we asked if we could get one with him as well. Flo returned the favor, and took this photo! An epic evening where we got to meet the mt Rushmore of tech death drummers 🥁

What a wild n crazy night! @deathtoallofficial put on one hell of performance of the songs from Human - Sounds of Perseverance. @max_phelps_exist did a phenomenal job simulating the voice of Chuck. It was wild seeing the mosh pit all night, and people chanting Chuck! It was a dream come true for me, and my high school friends! We got into Death during the summer of 2001. Eventually we found each album, and had Live in LA on vhs at one point! As we got hyped to see them one day, the sad passing of Chuck happened in December of that year. Therefore it was surreal to see 4 metal gods performing what we yearned to see back in those days! I would like to send a special thank you to my friend Amit for hooking me up with the VIP for this show! It was really cool meeting everyone in the band, and got some of my relics signed. Though none performed on Perseverance, I wanted them to sign it as a momentum of the album’s performance last night. Shout out to @sdglowend for remembering Birch Hill! 🤘

@cryptopsyofficial destroyed New Jersey last Night! In support of their new album ‘As Gomorrah Burns’, they came out to @dingbatznjofficial and gave us a reminder as to why they are the kings of tech death. The concert was surreal cause they were one of my favorites in high school. Not only that, but I got to see them with my high school friend @chaseschiefer . We listened to ‘Whisper Supremacy’ + ‘and then you’ll beg’ religiously back in those days. Thanks again for all these clips + pics. I even brought my ‘Whisper Supremacy’ cd booklet from back in the day + got it signed by Flo. All together the crowd was awesome, crazy, and respectful. Pretty cool to meet a lot of y’all!

Yesterday was both spectacularly exhilarating and terrifying. A full day of runs at Mountain Creek Bike Park. A member of our group had a horrific fall and broke his arm and was knocked out/concussed. #ydksamtb #mountaincreekbikepark #mountainbike #mountainbiking

Happy Gotcha Day to our littlest Lexi Loo! My new little bestie who always wants to be with her mama. This past year you’ve brought so much love & craziness (and of course zoomies!) to our little family and we wouldn’t have it any other way baby girl. You’ve come such a long way from the little street urchin I brought home, but you still give Pence a run for his money. Such a sweet girl… Mama loves you Lex! 😘❤️ 🐾 @littlest.lexi @chaseschiefer @the.penske.file #babykitty #gotchaday #sweetgirl #catsofinstagram #tuxedocat

20 years ago today, my first band DARK FIRE released our full-length album ‘Labyrinth of Insanity’. With high school friends, we became a traditional 4 piece thrash band. We were angry kids who grew up on Slayer, Sepultura, Kreator, Death, and more. This was our dedication to the greats! I played lead guitar in this band, and mostly improvised each time 🤣 2002 was an era of metalcore, hardcore, screamo, and we were totally lost in our thrash madness 🤘
