Thank you to @chauncea for a wonderful take! Here’s my two cents 😂

When you think of leadership, do you always think about platforms or being the face of something?

What if the biggest stage you ever stand on is…your living room?

Do you believe that where you are right now is still good?

Do you believe Christ is still good even if you never get that “title?”

In a world where everyone wants to lead, WHERE and HOW we do that may not be what we originally planned…

…and it is well…still.

Thoughts?

Share this to someone you think will agree or disagree with this 😂

Over two years ago, I held a writing dream out to God — with wonder, excitement, and honestly, a healthy bit of fear.

To find myself today interviewing my friend (and bestselling author) John Ortberg about the book we wrote alongside a whole group of authors? That’s an unfolding of the dream I never saw coming.

Write what, you might ask?

I felt convicted to write a book that would offer hope and strength to believers facing a trial that leaves them questioning God’s goodness. I pictured a chorus of voices — a cloud of witnesses — so that anyone wrestling with disillusionment or disappointment would know they’re not alone. We fend off the darkness in unity.

What I couldn’t have imagined was how willing, how inspired, and how generous that chorus would be.

Stay tuned to find out who else said ‘yes’!

Thanks to many “yeses” and what feels like unmerited favour, Honest to God: Daring to Trust When You Don’t Understand is written and on track for a fall launch.

It’s a rich collection of short stories, devotionals, and a little poetry — each one testifying to a hardship that drew the writer closer to God: closer to His ways, deeper in intimacy with Him, or further into the wonder of His glory. We took our lead from Moses’ conversation with God in Exodus 33.

This united step is also a mission. 100% of the book’s profits will support young adult education through Compassion International and Convoy of Hope.

If you’d like to pray with us, would you ask that each reader finds a gem within these pages that feels written just for them? That resources would pour in to lift under-resourced families out of poverty through education? That this project would never reflect on any one person — because that’s not the spirit here. It is - that all the glory belongs to Jesus.

Psalm 103 Bless the Lord O my soul!
14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

My heart is so FULL after a few days at @lostvalleyranch with dear sisters in Christ! Some old and some new. My heart needed this time tucked away in the mountains with the Lord and some Kingdom people. We had a time! We sang, danced, studied, laughed, worshipped, cried. I’m so grateful to have met all of you! (Wish i could tag everyone!)
And thank you @brookewarnock for leading beautifully!!! (The horse video- shows YOU at the front leading the charge and is so symbolic. We are all so grateful for you)

Until next year!!!!

(Please tag yourselves so i can add everyone!)
