dogworld is the formation of Yasmine Hosseini (rhythm guitar, she/her), Jesse Dowley (bass, he/they), and Max Sturm (lead guitar, sampler, he/him), balancing instinct with ceaseless creativity. Scoring fans globally in Interpol’s Daniel Kessler, theneedledrop’s Anthony Fantano, The Matt Wilkinson Show on Apple Music’s Radio 1, Nabihah Iqbal’s BBC R6 takeover and KEXP rotation to making waves at home across Rolling Stone, Sydney Morning Herald, triple j Unearthed, fbi.radio and community radio across Australia. Their debut EP RANGE saw them graduate 2025 as the next big thing, and workhorse of the live circuit in 2026, showcasing at BIGSOUND, SXSW Sydney and supporting Dry Cleaning, Bats, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Swapmeet, Shady Nasty, Body Type, Armlock, dust, Rain Dogs and more. Their next phase showcases a keen ear for an electronic interplay to their sound, taking cues from trip hop and dream pop. A spearhead within Canberra & Melbourne is a favourite tastemaker to the community. KARANI, born in Nairobi Kenya, cuts up SHUBZ with his forward-thinking selections. KARANI blends a whole range of #realmusic from rap ballads & soulful records to a whole range of black dance music, the range is limitless! CHEAHDX - dubbed “community man” by none other than Wax’o Paradiso, is exactly that. If you’ve been on a dancefloor in Naarm recently, no doubt you’ve seen him carrying the energy of the crowd, be it in front of or behind the decks. Darren is of Malaysian-Chinese descent, Boorloo-born & raised and attributes his multi-faceted taste to the many previous lives he’s lived. Firmly cemented in the Naarm dance music scene since 2023, it’s hard to find a party that CHEAHDX hasn’t attended.  With a special talent for production, CHEAHDX seems to defy genre with his sound. His style is endlessly eclectic; from dubby downtempo, triphop and rap cuts all the way to left-field DnB, progressive psy, dubstep, minimal tech house and hypnotic tech… With breakout release “Visage” on Andy Garvey’s Eora imprint Pure Space, an unhealthy array of on-the-nose club edits, a slew of forthcoming V/A offerings alongside a plethora of self-releases on his own label Serendipity, 20

@gweedus’ slow-growing obsession with vinyl has propelled him forwards sonically from his humble beginnings within Boorloo’s progressive house scene. Our latest entry in our mix series displays this shift towards darker, brooding selections... Gweedus on the inspiration behind this mix: “As the gloomy winter comes to an end, you can feel the anticipation in the air as the seasons change. The birds start to sing again, the leaves return on the trees, the once fickle glimpses of sunshine become warm rays to soak up at Edi’ Gardens. This mix is inspired by the excitement that comes with the promise of warmer weather after wintertime hibernation. Spritzes in the park, bike rides, meeting new and old friends alike, and dancing later into the balmy night - maybe even a couple benders if you’re lucky…” Listen to the mix and view the full tracklist via Soundcloud, link in bio. Gweedus is a core member of Serendipity’s sister party collective, @stepcountevents. Swipe across to see Gweedus in action at various Step Count parties over the years… Art by the ever talented @pandanprinc3ss 💕

PS026 - Decade Deep is out this Thursday ! To celebrate a decade is as much an act of reflection as it is of projection. Looking back long enough to understand how we arrived here, while remaining curious about where to next. Music for the dancefloor, certainly. But equally for the long drive, moments of stillness, or simply a love of discovering what’s waiting on the fringes.
