What a wonderful night celebrating the launch of A Bite of Boulder: Vol. 2 with @savor.productions! 🥂🍴

Last night was all about celebrating the local chefs, restaurants, producers, creatives, and at-home recipe testers who brought this updated local food guide to life. We’re so lucky to be part of a community that shows up for its local food scene and the people who make it so special!

Feeling extra warm and fuzzy today. Thanks to everyone who made this such a special evening! 💛🐌

What a fantastic night celebrating the launch of A Bite of Boulder, Volume 2 at Rosetta Hall!

I was blown away by the incredible job Jess and her team did putting this event together. Amazing food from some of Boulder’s favorite restaurants, a room full of good food people, and such a fun evening!

One of my favorite parts was running into so many familiar faces, including people I’ve been seeing at Boulder food events for literally decades!

And even better, I got to share the evening with Erin as a belated birthday present for her! 🎉❤️

Huge congratulations to Jess and everyone involved in bringing this beautiful cookbook to life and celebrating the Boulder food community!

From the farm to the stage! Jack and his team have always taken a full-circle approach to touring sustainability, as longtime advocates for local food wherever they play. For over a decade the tour has teamed up with renowned chefs across America, alongside local farmers and purveyors, at specific venues to highlight the local food movement with a series of farm to stage events for lucky radio winners.

Jack and Kim Johnson’s environmental advocacy is threaded through every part of touring as part of Jack’s @allatonce_org campaign. From the biofuels used in the buses, to the non-profits featured in the Village Green at each tour stop, to working with local farms to source local, organic ingredients for catering, to providing reusable cups and water refill stations to reduce single-use plastics. Even elements of tour promotion like the Farm To Stage events with radio help spread the word about sustainable local food systems.

🎥Jack and Kim were invited by their good friends Chef Ed Kenney and Chef @michelnischan to attend the James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Policy and Change® in April 2014. At the multi day gathering the idea of Farm to Stage was born, and Jack and Kim met the foundation’s Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy, Katherine Miller. Katherine has helped connect the tour with over 28 Chef’s around the country. Here’s a peek behind the scenes at Fiddlers Green in Denver, Colorado, with Chef Paul C Reilly, Chef Michel Nischan Co-Founder of @wholesomewave, and fellow chef friends Chef Daniel Asher, Chef Byron Gomez, and Chef Alex Seidel (Farm to Stage Chef 2022). Also featured from the first Farm To Stage event in Denver is Chef Kyle Mendenhall.

Gathered around the table at Basta, celebrating friendship between 2 Slow Food Chapters, Boulder and Piedmont, Italy, and kicking off the excitement for Terra Madre in Torino. 🐌

We enjoyed the flavors of summer on the pizza, their always-fantastic bread, hokum carrots and bok choy, and that very unique ice cream with tomato drizzle. 🍅 Oh Basta!

Today marks a decade of River and Woods. Before us, there was John’s - for 40 years. By comparison, we’re still in our infancy.

Thank you to Chef John and the whole Bizzarro family for entrusting us with the keys, and for passing down the traditions, responsibility, and reward that come with being keepers of the little miner’s cabin on Pearl Street.

We're just a few weeks away from the return of @eat_denver annual fundraiser, Savor the Season!! Three nights of All Star Chefs teaming up to raise money for local non profits and righteous causes. This years lineup is loaded with show-stopping menus & restaurants and I'm giddy just thinking about it.
