POV: Thai Proverbs สุภาษิตไทย with @chef_johnsamson

1.ฟ้าหลังฝน (Fá lăng fŏn) Meaning: Every cloud has a silver lining / The weather clears up after the rain. (Life gets better after hard times)

2.เข็นครกขึ้นภูเขา (Khĕn khrók khʉ̂n phuu-khǎw) Meaning: Pushing a mortar up a mountain. (Describing an extremely difficult or near-impossible task) [1]

3.ช้างตายทั้งตัว เอาใบบัวปิดไม่มิด (Cháaŋ taay tháŋ-tua, aw bay bua pìt mây mít)
Meaning: An entire dead elephant cannot be hidden by a lotus leaf. (Big problems are too obvious to cover up)

4. สีซอให้ควายฟัง (see sor hai kwai fang)
Translation: To play the violin for the buffalo to listen to. English version: Talking to a brick wall.  Meaning: You’re wasting your time talking to a person that does not listen.

5. หนีเสื่อประจระเข้ (nee seua pa jo ra kay)
Translation: To escape from the tiger to the crocodile. English version: Out of the frying pan into the fire.  Meaning: Getting out of one problem just to find yourself in another even worse one.

6. ปิดทองหลังพระ (pid tong lang pra)
Translation: Putting a gold leaf on the back of the Buddha image. Meaning: Do good, not for attention.
