The Summer Parties season at East End Homes has begun! Over the past two weeks, residents had the opportunity to attend events at the Mile End and Holland Estates, coordinated by our dedicated Community Engagement Manager, @wislon3000 Paul Wilson.

Despite the challenging weather, our amazing team rose to the occasion and ensured that everyone was welcomed and accommodated. A special thank you goes to our volunteers from Morgan Stanley. Without your support, we would not have been able to deliver the event to such a high standard!

Residents enjoyed a delicious hot meal, along with a selection of refreshments and snacks freshly prepared by our dedicated chef, @chefdannyjack

If you are an East End Homes resident, please check the schedule via QR Code on the slides and join us!

Goodbye darling heart. My Nelly. You celebrated all of our wins and never chased your own. You were the naughtiest, silliest and bitchiest man I ever had the honour of spending hundreds of hours at a time with. We really squeezed every minute out of our 20s. We knew we could sleep later and I know you are sleeping now. I am heart broken and shattered. I believed you would come back to us one day. Instead, I know that I will find you in the music of Jolie Holland and the dance floor of every party I ever attend. Forever young and beautiful my darling xx

The first Tony Hawk video game followed by the opening of @focus_scotland generated a load of young rippers at Bristo, some of whom found their way on to the Focus team.
‘About Time’ was filmed and edited by John Mullan around 05/06 and makes it’s way on here for the first time, featuring @alexanderjjohnston @blairhodge @treubhan @bnjminseele @dannyjack and others (tag away please) skating Edinburgh, Glasgow and Barca.
Big thanks to Alex for sending this over!

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who’s been part of the Studio Z journey this year. From intimate weddings and chef-led supper clubs to workshops and community feasts, we thrive on seeing how adaptable the space is.

Running a hospitality business today certainly has its challenges, but as we evolve, our team gets stronger and our purpose clearer: to build a sustainable and creative kitchen and event space for South London.

None of this would be possible without your continued support, so thank you for being part of it. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year.

Danny and all at Studio Z

We’ve been running Sundays at Studio Z for the past year, and with a new season beginning, we wanted to share a little more about this monthly pop-up. 🎶🥘🫶

These sessions are an opportunity for chefs and communities to host a day-long event, bringing people together to share a meal and support one another. 🍲✨

We’d love to see more chefs and collectives take over our kitchen!

Autumn and winter slots are now open, drop us a DM or email us at info@studiozbrixon.com if you’d like to host your own Sunday Session. 🙌

August w/ @dopameets 💜💜 I spent 3 weeks running my embroidery x archiving workshops for some lovely young people in Brixton thanks to @edensepiphany & @sylkysyd . Here's a selection of photos from the sessions and the final showcase that bring me sm joy xx
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"My workshop sessions as a part of Brixton Hospitality focused on exploring personal archives and history through embroidery. We began the workshop series by diving into the embroidery basics, from learning how to thread a needle to getting to grips with new stitches like running stitch, back stitch, chain stitch and French knots.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We used these sessions to discuss the concept of archiving and the different ways in which it can be used to preserve memories, represent cultural heritage and be a means of social resistance. We reflected on the questions, ‘what stories haven’t we told?’ and ‘what do we want to be remembered?’, to help us decide what photos in our personal archives we wanted to embroider on and share with the community.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These sessions became a beautiful space where we created freely and chatted about stories and moments that are special to us. Our collaborative installation is a reflection of these conversations and our varied experiences, brought to life through embroidery and our shared creativity."🦋✨

Real life connection with other humans - there’s nothing like it! Shared with food, art & expression…😮‍💨👌

It’s been a whole month since we broke bread and celebrated together, as free thinkers of all ethnicities, ages, classes, genders, sexualities, abilities, neuro-diversities, sharing in the common belief that joy is resistance. And we need more of it.

Dopameets was born as a creative incubator for community. A way to hold space for imagination, contribution, belonging because community is only community, if you are socialising with care. And we can only achieve collective progress if we care for one another. Through our first project, Brixton Hospitality, we nurtured local youth with connection & creativity.

Thank you to EVERYONE who touched Brixton Hospitality with their loving energy. It really was what it says on the tin! To all the young people and facilitators who showed up for each other week after week to imagine, create and share together. To Studio Z for providing our dream home for this holding. To all those who joined us to eat, laugh and support one another at the Showcase & Cook Up. To Walcott Foundation who funded our big idea and made it possible… we have the most gratitude 🤍

Our hearts are still full, and we excited to continue our work in October… but if you’re missing that connection join us again, this Sunday 21st September at @studiozbrixton for our sister organisation @gmascommunitykitchen Cook The Ting Fundraiser. Join us in solidarity for our local brothers & sisters, from the refugee and asylum seeking community as we enjoy Guyanese food together 🇬🇾

s/o @_ramzpov for capturing our event so perfectly & @shotbyhamda for the connect 📸✨
