Our Cavatelli: made with toasted masa, cumin, and paprika. We serve this housemade pasta with a fresh Elote-inspired cream made with grilled corn, huitlacoche, and pasilla mixe. This dish is finished with a crispy XO made with jamon, hutilacoche, garlic and shallot, as well as some crispy cotija, cilantro, tarragon, and marigold petals.

Our crudo: local Kanpachi cured in a roasted blueberry leaf oil, and green yuzu zest. It features dots of a Huacatay cream and blueberry puree, with pickled blueberry, Huacatay leaves and alyssum.

The dish is then finished with a sauce is a fermented blueberry consommé seasoned with aji Amarillo and green yuzu juice.

Best birthday ever! It was my first time at @pastabarla | @chefdjnelson is the best! The 12 course tasting menu was phenomenal! Every course was a unique work of art full of complex flavors that were beautifully crafted. It was such a fun environment sitting at the bar interacting with all of the chefs.
