We had the opportunity to attend Somewhere Over the Border at @mosaictheaterdc last night! Having spaces where our culture, experiences, and stories can be shared, seen, and celebrated are so important. 🇸🇻❤️ The cast was absolutely amazing; bringing so much heart, passion, and authenticity to the stage. You could truly feel the dedication and emotion behind every performance. We laughed, we cried, but more importantly, we felt seen. Today is the last day to catch the show at Mosaic Theater! If you have a chance, go check it out and support these incredibly talented artists and this important story. @mrbrianquijada Thank you to you and your mom for sharing this story with our community. #SomewhereOverTheBorder #MosaicTheater #salvadoran #SalvadoranStories #somosDC

What a wonderful experience attending yesterday’s screening of the short film District of Pupusas! 🎬 The film offers such an interesting perspective on pupusas, DC culture, and the rich history and contributions of the Salvadoran community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. With approximately 300,000 Salvadorans living in the DMV area, the Salvadoran community is an essential part of our region’s identity, culture, and history. From food and traditions to entrepreneurship and community building, Salvadorans have helped shape the DMV in so many meaningful ways. A special thank you to Professor Ana Patricia Rodríguez for hosting this wonderful event at the University of Maryland and creating space to celebrate and share these important stories! I highly encourage everyone to check out this film and keep an eye out for upcoming screenings! 🎬✨ For more information, visit 🌐 www.districtofpupusas.com #TheDistrictOfPupusas #SalvadoreñosEnElDMV #SalvadoranCulture #Pupusas #DCCulture
