🥩 Review: Five Wagyu Courses, Five Wine Pairings and One Unexpected Crème Brûlée Wagyu in a crème brûlée? We were curious too. But it works. La Madonna’s five-course degustation takes Wagyu well beyond a traditional steak dinner: 🥂 Wagyu tongue with Champagne 🍷 Hanger steak carpaccio with Pinot Noir 🥟 Tenderloin tortellini in double Wagyu consommé 🥩 45-day butter-dry-aged MB6 cube roll 🍮 Wagyu tallow crème brûlée with Liqueur Muscat Our standout dishes were the delicate tortellini and deeply flavoured cube roll, and the Palladino Barbera pairing was easily one of the night's highlights. Add La Madonna’s cosy, moody setting and warm, attentive service, and you have a dinner that feels worthy of a special occasion. 📍 La Madonna, Next Hotel Melbourne 💰 Five-course menu: $220 per person 🍾 Wine pairing: Additional $110 per person 📅 Tuesday to Saturday until 31st October 2026 Would you try the Wagyu tallow crème brûlée? The process behind the plate. Our Loddon Estate duck breast is dry-aged in-house at La Madonna, with time, patience and precision bringing out its depth of flavour and tenderness. Finished with warm Castelfranco radicchio, sauce curcuma and spiced jus. A dish that reflects our passion for doing things properly — from our kitchen to your table.
