POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Since it seems like my comments were hidden on @yukileiformayorʻs post and I’m super petty 😈 imma post it here.

I also feel like the media isn’t laying out the details in a way that actually helps people understand what exactly happened and what is happening. Probably intentionally cause it’s more dramatic that way but I don’t think it’s responsible reporting so I did my own homework to better understand and I suggest yall do too.

Still want to know your thoughts on Pelletier lying though, @yukileiformayor. Especially since you were endorsed by SHOPO. I think it’s absolutely relevant.

Rooting for the people of Maui and for @bissen2026 to get a chance to continue helping the county move forward 🫶🏻

🪄Introducing our Aloha ʻĀina Series—a small-batch fragrance collection inspired by the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi: its flowers, coastlines, and the feeling of aloha you carry home with you.
Now at Handmade Aloha at NOKA Fair (Kapaʻa)

Pua Melia — “In Hawaiʻi, pua melia is woven into lei, carried through graduations and celebrations, and blooming in the everyday beauty of backyard trees. This candle is that iconic plumeria scent.”

Wailuanuiāhoʻano — “Soft coconut and a gentle trace of vanilla—like a tropical breeze.”
Wailua is a storied, sacred region of Kauaʻi—once a major social, political, and religious center, and home to the Wailua Complex of Heiau. In the late 1800s, Kauaʻi’s first coconut grove was planted here—carried into a place already rich with aliʻi history.

🪄🪄We support only community-led restoration in Wailuanuiāhoʻano—and oppose development that compromises its sacredness.

Found these old yearbook pictures from Junior High in 1986, while I was working on my ancestry family tree.

The first picture is me sporting some Flock Of Seagulls coif, and really feeling myself in my fresh Adidas sweat suit. Little did I know, this would be my last year attending school in Oakland. We moved to Stockton the following summer.

The second picture is my sister-cousin Tina. You had to try real hard to outrun us in them streets! We did EVERYTHING together from the time we were about 5 years old! But, our favorite thing to do was go fishing on the weekends! By the time we were 12, we knew every slough on the Delta.❤️

The 3rd picture is the homie Adam, aka A-Plus from @hieroglyphics @soulsofmischief. Adam was the littlest kid at school, but also the smartest. My man's had bars and was light on his feet in 5th grade! '93 Til Infinity? Nah. More like '83 Til. 😁

Next photo is me in band! I played flute for a number of years. Maybe one day, i'll surprise you....☺️

And last, but not least, Miss Shelby Hutson! My ace-boon-kun!!!! We was PATNAS!!! I love you shuggabz ❤️🥰

Some of you might just see average school kids in these photos. But, you're looking at some of the most resilient people on planet earth.

@catinaisom @heiroaplus shuggabz

What we went through as kids growing up in deep east Oakland during the start of the crack epidemic and on the cusp of gang violence in the black community, was something that isn't discussed enough. We were kids intended for the school to prison pipeline, trafficking, or CP Bannon.

We were meant to be statistics.

By the grace of God, we thrived. Strong enough, and smart enough, to avoid the traps and the pitfalls that claimed many of our friends, family, and our peers. I'm so proud of you guys.

If you were one of these King or Howard kids, shout yourself out! I might have a picture of you in my archives! I would love to hear from you!
