Such a lovely time celebrating with this wonderful team. So proud of everyone involved!

Another little full-circle moment for me. Back in 2022 and 2023, I was working at LFF, helping other film crews onto the red carpet for their photos, and secretly wishing I’d be there with my own film one day.

And here we are, two years later, back at the same place with brilliant @nftsfilmtv ‘s team and @eyelinerfilm ! 🥹

Funny how things come full circle. 💙#LFF

Trailer drop for An Eye For An Eye Chart to celebrate our nomination at @sunrisefilmfestival for the Low Budget Award. Big day for our £75 💸

Whilst we’re here... very grateful to have won Best Student Short at @bigfridgefilmfestival, received an Honourable Mention at @brightonrocksfilms, and picked up several nominations at @sundshortsfilm festival. We are now officially @bifa_film qualifying 🥳

Huge thank you to everyone who helped make this film possible. The budget was small, but the issue isn’t.

Falling Short l @thelondonfilmschool graduation project.

Directed by @owellisz_art

This has been one of the most technically ambitious films I’ve ever shot. Crafting a distinctly theatrical aesthetic while keeping the world grounded within reality was both a challenge and a joy. Over the course of three intense days, we brought to life five unique set pieces, two intricate miniatures, a ‘professional’ dog actor, some green screen work, and countless other moving parts — all on sets built entirely from the ground up.

Shot on the @arri Alexa Mini with Panavision Ultraspeed lenses and Cooke zooms, this project demanded precision, collaboration, and a lot of creative problem-solving.

I’m deeply grateful to every single crew member who made this possible. A huge thank you to my brilliant gaffer @bethanyyang for pulling off our lighting plans against all odds — rigging over 30 S60 Skypanels and 15 @sumolightgroup Sumospace panels in a single day, alongside all the M90s, while finessing the look and colour and managing the chaos of leds and old school fixtures to perfection.
And to @jtcockrell my first AC for seamlessly different Alexa bodies with different mounts, an endless rotation of lenses, and a makeshift dolly setup to get the shots we envisioned.

As a student film, the level of logistical and technical support we received was truly rare. This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible generosity and backing of @panavisionofficial and @panaluxworld
And of @cameraworks_uk and @pilotlighting for providing the additional support.

Also truly grateful to @santino_colour @kerriaungleproducer and @company_3 for making the colours pop out the way they do.

And most importantly to @owellisz_art for trusting me with the film.

The last year or so has been wild .. shooting 4 shorts in a year and a half at the @nftsfilmtv on the Directing Fiction course. I’m still on the journey with Grad heading into post but am coming up for air. Incredibly grateful for the friends and collaborators I’ve been lucky enough to have on the journey with me ❤️

Incredibly talented actors. Producers and PM’s that pushed the limit. Wonderfully inspiring DOP’s who I feel very lucky to have met. Brilliant writers who made dreaming so so fun. A casting director who went above and beyond. Teams of AD’s that blew me away. Incredibly playful, caring and resilient editors, sound designers and composers . Production designers that slay’ed. Costume designers that pulled off the impossible. Incredible stunt teams and my first time working with motorbikes- so exciting and I’m so grateful for this experience.
And two bafta qualified shorts. Really it’s impossible to sum up in a post but thank you so much for everyone that has been with me, supporting, championing and bringing to life these short films that I care so much about lots of love x
