Building strength takes time, patience, and persistence.

Like anything worthwhile, it can’t be rushed, and there are no shortcuts.

This is the mindset for the next 12 weeks at GRIPT, with the Strength Program starting tomorrow across BASE, VOLUMIZE, and HYPER, as we prepare for one rep max testing in June.

The work starts now.

Training rib positioning isn’t just about posture – it’s about power, breath, and performance.

Here’s why runners should care about rib control:
➖Improves breathing efficiency & diaphragm function
➖ Builds stronger core stability for better load transfer
➖ Optimizes running mechanics & posture
➖Reduces injury risk: when the ribs flare up, the pelvis often tips forward (anterior pelvic tilt). This can arch your lower back and put extra stress on the spine, hips, and hamstrings. Learning to control rib position helps bring the ribs and pelvis back into alignment – taking pressure off those areas and creating a stronger, more balanced base for running.
