THE THREE-PEAT CHASE STARTS HERE. 🏆

Yardies enter Year 8 as back-to-back champs after winning the 2025 Fantasy Bowl by just 0.08 points. But it’s Decoupes sitting at No. 1 in the opening rankings.

Twelve teams. Three debuting franchises. A fresh race for the trophy.

Who’s ranked too high, and who’s being slept on? 👀

Our Black teens are adopting AI tools faster than almost anyone else, but using a system is not the same as controlling it.

Right now, millions of scholars are using generative AI to write essays, generate images, and search for answers. But if they never learn who trained the model, they miss the biggest picture.

Artificial intelligence isn't neutral. Algorithms learn from historical data, which means they can carry the same biases, blind spots, and stereotypes as the people who programmed them.

When we only teach our children how to prompt AI, we keep them in the position of consumers. When we teach them computational thinking, dataset analysis, and design ethics, we position them as creators and leaders.

At Coding with Culture, we build the K-HBCU pathway by equipping Black and Brown students to ask hard questions, analyze systems, and build tech that serves our communities.

Save this post to refer back to these 3 questions, and visit codingwithculture.com to learn how we develop HBCU-ready innovators.

If we want our children to lead the future of technology, we have to pull up to the spaces where global innovation is being designed.

That is exactly why I took Coding with Culture to the ASU+GSV summit this past April. We aren’t looking for a seat at a generic tech table—we are building our own ecosystem by cementing a definitive Kindergarten-to-HBCU pathway in Computational and Design Thinking. Because at CwC, culture isn’t an afterthought or a decoration. Identity is the foundation, and innovation is our vehicle.

This highlight reel is just a glimpse of what it looks like when we bring Black excellence into rooms of global leadership, ensuring our brilliant Black and Brown scholars are always centered.

I’m officially rebranding this page to take you behind the scenes of this founder journey. Hit that follow button, join the movement, and let’s build the future together. 🚀 Learn more at codingwithculture.com.

HBCUs have been producing Black engineers, founders, and technologists for over a century.
Without the endowments. Without the mainstream press. Without the federal investment that PWIs have received since day one.
Harvard's CS program is 3% Black. Three percent.
And we still let them set the standard.
Spelman. Howard. FAMU. Morgan State. These institutions build Black excellence at scale — and they do it every single year, systematically underfunded.
Imagine what they could do with real investment.
That's why we start at Kindergarten. The K-HBCU pathway isn't a dream. It's a plan.

Shouting out Earth Day yesterday and the beautiful reminder that we are stewards, not just residents of this planet. 🌍💚

At Happy Mama Happy Mini, Inc., we are intentional about turning awareness into action, creating spaces where our youth can process, learn, and lead through initiatives like Curbing Climate Anxiety: STEM Expo.

Flashback to our impactful workshop in partnership with the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, where conversations were honest, solutions were explored, and our children were reminded that their voices matter right now.

Because we’re not raising fearful kids… we’re raising informed, empowered changemakers.

The work doesn’t stop after Earth Day, it lives in what we teach, how we show up, and the legacy we’re building for the next generation.

Do AI tutors really 2X learning for students?.

We know the Harvard study tells us that AI tutors 2x learning for students. What does the Kipp Atlanta Collegiate study tell us?

Seamless integration at scale

• 72.7% of scholars are using HoloTutor multiple times a day—proving powerful tech can fit naturally into existing school systems.

• Stronger engagement & critical thinking

81.8% of students say HoloTutor helps them think through problems instead of just copying answers—driving deeper learning and creativity.

• Better comprehension & study outcomes

54.5% report improved study efficiency, while 63.6% use HoloTutor to better understand concepts and complete homework.

This is what equitable, AI-powered learning looks like in action. HoloTutor delivers measurable outcomes at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate.

Thank you to Jenesia Welch and @chemystree for the study!
