To kick off 2025, EN FESTIVAL makes its much-anticipated return to WOMB. The headliner is none other than the Grammy Award-winning artist, BLACK COFFEE, for whom no introduction is needed. Black Coffee has been a pivotal figure in the global rise of Afro House. His music, characterized by a unique blend of spatial balance, sonorous melodies, and understated sophistication, positions him as one of the top leaders in dance music internationally. After a long hiatus away from Japan, excitement is at peak levels in anticipation of the performance he will deliver in Tokyo.For EN FESTIVAL, Black Coffee will take over the main floor from opening to closing,providing a rare chance to experience the artistry of his signature long set. We visited our soy sauce brewer Yu Ding Xing and spent time learning their process and getting to know this lovely family. They took the time to share a meal with the crew and also introduced us to the farmer of the local black soybeans they use in their Single Origin soy sauce. We got so much meaningful footage, the biggest challenge was distilling it down into 15 minutes. Can’t wait to share this with the world. @chenoffice @yds_amberiver

You're invited to an advance screening of Time, Terroir, Taiwan: Soy Sauce Brewing in Xi Luo, a mini-documentary directed by @chenoffice office and produced by @yunhaishop. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and Yi-Cheng Hsieh, Yu Ding Xing soy sauce brewer. Attendance is free, and the event is online. April 10th, 8pm EDT. Link in profile. ⁠ ⁠ The 15-minute film documents the traditional process of making Taiwanese soy sauce by hand, using black soybeans, terracotta vats, the sun, and wood fire. It offers a portrait of the brewers, with a look back to the early days of the brewery and forward to the next generation.⁠ ⁠ We're so excited to share this with you!⁠

I've been waiting months for this moment! Here's a sneak peek at our soy sauce mini-documentary, premiering soon. It features our soy sauce brewer, Yu Ding Xing, and their traditional process for making Taiwanese-style, sun-brewed soy sauce. But it's more than that, it's also a portrait of a multi-generational family business that has shaped and been shaped by the island's history. This beautiful work comes from the genius of Taiwanese filmmaker and architect Steve Chen (@chenoffice) and his talented collaborators. ⁠ ⁠ Please share this trailer and spread the word. We're so excited to tell the story of Yu Ding Xing and provide a look at the traditional food movement in Taiwan. ⁠ ⁠ The launch of the full piece will be announced here, in email and on our website. Last Night I Saw You Smiling: Filmmaker Kavich Neang's father is one of the hundreds of residents who had to leave the iconic White Building in Phnom Penh. Neang dreamed of shooting a fiction film here, but reality overtook his plan.   Diamond Island: The film is a symbol of Cambodia's future. Like many others, Bora, 18, is lured from his village to work in construction in Phnom Penh. There, he is reunited with his older brother Solei, who introduces him to the exciting world of Cambodia's privileged urban youth. Dream Land: Lida, a career-driven woman, sells upscale real estate in Phnom Penh. But unable to escape the prison of her interior monologue, she travels to the quiet beach town of Kep.
