Tonight reminded me why I’ve always believed in building relationships before selling anything.

Sales is about people. Full stop.

People buy from people they trust. And trust isn’t built because you have the right pitch, the right title, or the right company behind your name. It’s built by being a human first.

I’ve never been interested in knowing someone only well enough to close a deal. I want to know who you are. What matters to you. What you’re building. Your family. Your goals. The shit that has absolutely nothing to do with my quota.

Because my quota might change.
My title might change.
The company on my email signature might change.

But my reputation follows me everywhere.

I want people to say good things about me when I’m not in the room—not because I sold them something, but because of how I treated them when there was nothing in it for me.

I’ll fight for a person before I’ll fight for a deal.

That may not be the way everyone approaches sales.

It’s the way I always have.

And nights like tonight remind me exactly why.

“The body achieves what the mind believes”

Another fantastic and painful prep under my belt. No short of amazing and yet the hardest thing I have ever done. Yet that’s the beauty in it, isn’t it?
This prep was easier in regards to familiarity, and my body responded really well. But this also challenged me in ways I couldn’t imagine and god I loved it.
Here are the main lessons I learned while challenging my mind:

1.) you don’t avoid your hard you chose it.
My hard is school, personally. I avoid assignments like the plaque although I want a career! Body building? Easier for me. But challenging my body and my mind allowed me to realize I am not facing my hard, I’m choosing it. And it’s time to actually let it chose me.

2.) Brain is stronger than your body and your body is stronger than your brain.
It’s not always mind over matter, the body may give up with all the willpower in the world. It’s about learning and controlling it.

3.) Patience and delayed gratification.
I realized how much I crave instant dopamine hits. This could mean caffeine, scrolling on Instagram, food, whatever it is. Delaying that gratification taught me the beauty in the uncomfortable and that dopamine is temporary.

4.) live in the current moment.
With being so structured you think of what next to “check off”. Time goes by nonetheless. Practice breathing and connect with your body. Moments pass and go.

5.) Ways to regulate stress.
Your body is under so much stress physically and mentally. Life does not stop. Classes don’t stop. Realize you are in a vulnerable state and it’s ok to take more time and it’s okay to take 10 min out of your day to practice breath work. It’s okay to not be okay.

6.) Action before clarity.
You don’t always need to know the answers before you make the choice. Sometimes clarity comes after the choice is made. It’s about the risk and the faith in your own future.

7.) boundaries.
Body building requires sacrifice and time is expensive. You have to set boundaries to get to where you want to be, and people will understand.
I’m beyond grateful and blessed. I will take some time in the off season to grow and ground myself.

THIS IS BODYBUILDING…

Coaching 3 clients and competing at the same time into a bikini competition was HARD.

I had a stress knot in my back all day long, I felt like I was always 1 step behind what was needed to get done, and keeping y’all updated as best I could was a TRIP!

(I almost had a mental breakdown after finding that I’d lost one of my dangle earrings… but @andrea.ekiko came in clutch and found it backstage on the floor 😭😭😭 THANK YOU ANDREA!)

HOWEVER, I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world. I am BEYOND proud of each of my clients who competed over the weekend: @lilyherrr @missroxtar @lexielitlifts

I had front row seats to watching them ALL experience a new side of competing with a TEAM. A unit of support is EVERYTHING bts during the chaos of show day.

Watching you all overcome the mental challenges of the day inspired me to be bold and courageous on that stage. Thank you for showing up for me as much as I showed up for you 🌹🤝✨

All 3 were so wonderful to coach through this prep and thank you for sharing the stage with me as a competitor as well. 🏆

I hope you know ALL of you made me SO proud on Saturday. 🥹

Now let’s reverse out of this prep, and come back stronger for the next one. 🏆🏆🏆
