If your idea of a perfect getaway is a cozy cottage, good food, little moments of fun, and waking up to the prettiest fall colours… save this one. 🍂🤎

We spent a night at Cheticamp Salt House in Cape Breton, and between the colourful interiors, cozy night in, and that beautiful morning view, I genuinely wished we’d booked one more night.

A little escape from the everyday, right in the heart of Cape Breton. ✨

Would you stay here? Comment BNB and I’ll send you the details! 🏡

Traditions have always meant a lot to me - “Sheridan and her darn traditions” was what I used to hear lolol. When I was a kid I’d remind my parents of exactly how we did things the year before and insist we do it the same way to keep the tradition alive. I knew after spending our first August long here in Chéticamp it would become one of our family’s favourite traditions. 🫶🏼✨

SO HAPPY I DUSTED OFF MY CAMERA FOR THE WEEKEND 😭

Cape Breton 2026 | Part 1 🌊

For our first two nights we stayed at @cheticampsalthouse and it ended up being such a perfect cozy home base for exploring the area.

From waterfall hikes, the Sky Trail, and beaches nearby, to coming back and relaxing after a full day of adventures — it had everything you’d need. They even provide guides and recommendations for things to do around the area.

One of the coolest touches was their unique wood-burning sauna & hot tub 🔥

If you’re planning a Cape Breton trip, definitely check out @cheticampsalthouse

Nothing beats the delicious coffee and local finds at @boutiquemarguerite in Cheticamp ! So many unique items from local artists and vendors, epic thrift finds and sweet hospitality. This spot is more than a coffee stop - it’s a local experience that can’t be missed.

If you’re driving the Cabot Trail this year, be sure to add this stop to your itinerary! It’s definitely a bucket list spot!
