Perioral dermatitis is one of the most mismanaged skin conditions I see.

Because most people are told to:
→ use stronger actives
→ exfoliate more
→ “dry it out”

But this actually keeps the skin in a constant triggered state.

When your barrier is compromised, your skin becomes reactive to everything —
products, stress, hormones, even your environment.

Then you add in:
jaw clenching (stress)

* poor lymph flow
* hormone imbalances

…and it becomes a cycle that feels impossible to break.

This is why healing it requires a completely different approach:
supporting the nervous system, restoring the barrier, and getting things moving again.

If you’ve been stuck in this cycle, it’s not because you’re doing too little —
it’s because you’ve likely been told to do too much.

DM “SKIN” to work together or book a lymphatic drainage facial

From Dawn Till Dawn:

UTL Women’s Bracket:

Fin Fatales (Austin, Texas) vs. Mermaid Mafia (Southern California)

Clean Passing = Clean Goal

The Mermaid Mafia set up this goal with tons of clean and coordinated torpedo movement.

Resident Scrapper @sara__walsh stayed calm under intense pressure (to no one’s suprise and bought her fellow Mermaids time to get in position).

With some help from @tristansaltonstall and @katewoolbright @dawnkerrigan had time to recover her breath, wait for the torpedo to go low and closer to the goal, and get in position just in time to seal the deal.

What a display of top tier UTL gameplay from these ladies.

Want to play UTL, we have teams in Charleston, South Carolina, South Florida, Southern California, and Texas.

UTL Torpedoes are also now available for pre-order purchases (at a discounted price while supplies last).

Many chronic skin issues don’t actually begin on the surface.

Your skin is constantly responding to what’s happening inside the body and in the environment around you.

Environmental stressors — including mold exposure — can influence inflammation, immune responses, nervous system regulation, and skin sensitivity.

For some people, this can show up as:

• persistent breakouts
• eczema or rashes
• redness and irritation
• skin that suddenly becomes reactive

But it’s not just the skin — mold illness affects energy, mood, focus, and daily life.

People suffering from chronic exposure often experience:

• brain fog and difficulty concentrating
• fatigue that never fully goes away
• anxiety or irritability
• feeling misunderstood or dismissed by others

Many of us who choose to live low-tox also face judgment — some people think we’re just being “control freaks” because we make healthier swaps or changes to our environment.

The truth is, sometimes illness gives you no choice but to prioritize clean air, low-tox living, and supportive habits.

This is the perfect time for a spring cleaning reset:
Common areas where mold hides in your home include:

• bathrooms and showers
• under sinks or plumbing leaks
• HVAC systems or air vents
• around windows or water-damaged walls
• washing machines or dishwashers

Instead of waiting until your body forces you to make changes, start with small, simple shifts now. Even basic swaps and mindful cleaning habits can make a huge difference.

Supporting your body today helps prevent future struggles and gives your skin, mind, and energy the space to thrive.

Save this if you’re learning more about the connection between environmental health, emotional wellness, and skin health. 🌿
