POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Six years ago, on Halloween 2020, I ran the Carrera de los Muertos virtually because of COVID. This year, the race falls on Halloween again—and this time, I get to run it in person!

I still remember that amazing day in Pilsen: I went for a run at home when I with @midwaymilechasers took photos and videos, at Pilsen met @chi_los and won a skull, Best Video, and Best Photo. It was one of the best days I have had. This after like November I won

I am excited to return for this special race and make more memories. I cannot wait!

Trust me one my favorite race of all time

Halloween can’t wait

Enjoy the video I did while back

Chicago Marathon volunteering #2 was a success, and this time I was trusted as a “supervisor.” Granted, our captain learned very quickly how fast my OCD kicks in.

But honestly, I needed this. It is helping me get back into my community and start the process of getting my health back to where it was pre COVID. I may not run 16 races back to back again, maybe, but helping the other volunteers and runners, running on three hours of sleep, and watching everyone push through the heat, exhaustion, and pain is what makes this such a unique memory and inspiration.

I still remember clicking on the Chicago lottery application at 7 am before work back in 2019, when I was really struggling to get through everything. I never thought I would be able to run that distance. Then I found out I secured a spot, and it became part of my story of getting the help I needed and learning that faith has a weird way of working things out.

Granted, having two PTs tell me to drop out of the half and marathon and never breaking 13 miles before the marathon was probably not the smartest move, but alas, I did it and made it to the finish line.

To the 2026 Chicago Marathon class, welcome to the alumni group and thank you for pushing through!

To Aid Station 15, y’all made this fun. Working as a team just added another reason why waking up at 3 am was worth it. See y’all next year!

Some days are just about being together. ❤️⚾️ A beautiful evening at the @whitesox game surrounded by friends, family and some truly amazing company. My sister joined us too, which made the night even more special. I’m so grateful for this circle of people—the kind of friendships that make ordinary moments feel like memories worth keeping.

Good people. Great company. Lots of laughs. And to top it all off… the White Sox got the win! ⚾️🙌🏽

Feeling grateful for days like this and for the people I get to share them with. ❤️ Gracias @chi_los

LATE POST! I had the pleasure to DJ the 13.1 half marathon! It was great providing the energy, and what do I see from the corner of my eye? Lt. Governor of Illinois Juliana Stratton just jamming and vibing next to me. I was shocked because you hear her say, I know you and I remember you! What a great feeling to get recognized. Gracias to all the volunteers and @chi_los for always vouching my work!

Shoutout to everyone who raced @carreradelasmadres - you did amazing, even if it was your first 5k! Best part: our co-captain @3juan2 took second place in his age group representing Lyons. Huge congrats to all who raced @cincodemiler as well.

Big thanks to @nicoleandry for the help, and congrats to Ely and her kids for racing with everyone else. Great job all around—keep up the fantastic work!
