Chiantel Taylor shared a powerful word with our moms on Tuesday evening and Thursday morning, offering her testimony of redemption and reconciliation.

Our moms were reminded that God is sovereign and continues to write their stories. He is present in every hard and difficult season, working all things together for good and for His glory. Even when we don’t understand the journey, we can trust His timing because God is always on time!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for A Night at the Theatre!
We had a blast bringing iconic women from history into the modern world—from Joan of Arc as a mall cop to Harriet Tubman as a high school history teacher.
They made us laugh, cry, and rethink what God can do through ordinary lives.

We LOVED this panel!!! Jennisue, Matt & Chiantel illuminated ways we can walk at the speed of love, recognizing where God is already at work in our city and our world.

There were so many quotable moments of the evening, but I was personally moved by this series of questions posed by Chiantel to frame the whole discussion:

What is our individual role when it comes to the power of change?
Do I believe change is possible?
Can I bring it?

We are reclaiming the narrative you may have heard about women throughout history and the church. Did you know that Jesus actually turned the patriarchy on its head? In a culture where women were not valued and not equal he elevated them. There is so much we can learn from history if we do our homework. We’re bringing you a panel of scholars this month for a special event at the Manitou Art Center to honor women throughout history in hopes that this will also encourage you that your story matters and your voice matters. This event is for everyone, not just women. But we especially encourage you to bring women you want to honor—maybe that’s your mom, a friend, wife, daughter, sister.

4 years ago today, January 29, 2021, @eddiehoagland and I flew out to Colorado Springs from Chicago in faith that the Spirit might be inviting us into something at @newlifenorth and @nlyacos.

It’s important to pause and remember. There’s a biblical precedent for it, especially in Joshua 4, where 12 stones were gathered to remember the miraculous works God had done for His people. These are some of my stones of remembrance - marking the incredible work the Lord has done in my life and in the life of our family in the last 4 years. He has healed us spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically; He has gifted us with life-changing friendships and courage in our calling; He has knit things together in ways only He could ever design.

Today I pause and remember God’s faithfulness. He is writing a better story than I could ever write ✨
