A day in Fitzroy!!!

📍ChickyBoi, 375 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065

Today I visited @chickyboi.au in Fitzroy.

The sun was shining and the current special ‘Caesarboi’ ($25) was calling my name.

Consisting of their OG seasoned fried chicken (halal), Caesar dressing, caesar salad mix, pangrattato & pickled lemon spread, this sandwich really hit the spot in terms of texture- the chicken was perfectly crisp. 🐓

Personally, I think actual Parmesan would’ve complemented this really well- I felt like a bold, rich flavour was needed. 🧀

A tasty sandwich, but I think my favourite sandwich in Melbourne is still yet to be found. (Really liked the team here also- good vibes ☀️!!)

Today the Bros On Bites tried Chickyboi! After months of missing out because they kept selling out, we FINALLY got our hands on it. Safe to say, it was definitely worth the hype! 🔥#melbournefood #melbourneeats #brosonbites #foodreview #viralfood

hoji oolong loves a day out!! here’s some places we visited near Melbourne CBD that are doggy friendly & human friendly too 😋🐾

#melbourne #dogfriendly #pastry #cafe #melbournefoodies

@daybaker.melbourne at Abbortsford is the hype recently!! we went there at 8AM and there’s already a queue 😮‍💨 ordered one of everything from the menu because why not 🤭

while hoji oolong can’t eat, the hoomans seemed to really enjoyed the cracked corn bomba calabrese, cookie 🍪 & canele! there’s only outdoor seating available, and seats are limited so our suggestion would be to do takeaway & start a pastry picnic party at Ramsden Street Reserve 🧺🥐

bombastic looking pastries

hungry hungry

after all that pastry, it’s time for a walk 🚶‍♀️🐕🐕‍🦺 at Ramsden Street Reserve.

this reserve is huuuuugeee, has connecting path towards Merri Creek, Yarra River, and Yarra Bend Park. we went for the trail towards Merri Creek, some path was a lil muddy but hogulie are brave babies, our hoomans took some time to went through it 😆 we met many doggies too and really enjoyed that its off leashed!!

‼️ also, important PSA from hogulie that although its off-leashed, all pawrents should also be cautious at certain areas. there are parts where bikers bike past frequently and/or crowded areas so just have to be on alert! 🚨

doggiefriend🐾

we love greens

muddy path ahead

view 💯

⚠️ PICK UP YOUR POO POO!

the size diffwrence!!! 😳

@chickyboi.au at Fitzroy, a quick drive from Ramsden. Perfect for lunch after a long walk 😆 theres outdoor seating but seats are limited and the street is pretty busy. Make sure pawbabies don’t run off to the main road! 🛣️

dine with a city view 🏙️

“Can i have some? I love chiky”

@pinto_melbourne, Fitzroy. pawrents got a classic slab & earl grey tiramisu, prefer the classic slab! The OG flavour is good by its own 😋😋 place is also chill, a quiet street where hoji oolong can sit and people watch 🧚

okay thats it!!! time to crash and go for dreamland. 12 hours sleep HERE WE GAUR 😴🫩

Our first spring together, with new experiences and additions ;)

Geelong, Geelong 👏👏 - soaked in the footy atmosphere and got hooked since (we also watched the “grannys” (grandfinals) and it was an amazing match, especially at the end)

A nice beachside town with amazing views and Saturday footy culture (not pictured)

We seriously recommend these (from top left to bottom left, clockwise):
1. BKK Lab - Carnegie @bkk_lab
2. ChickyBoi - Fitzroy @chickyboi.au
3. BAM Street Food - Altona @bamstreetfood
4. Gai Wong - Carlton @tws_gaiwong

Adopted Kiki from @lostdogshome and happy to update that she’s been a very comfy kitty! More cat pics to come 🐈‍⬛

Enjoyed the tulips at Tesselaar Tulip Festival! Every week features a different theme and we went on a Dutch weekend - saw this mechanical organ and Dutch things (Dutch clogs, a cheese auction, poffertjes)

Went to the Melbourne Royal Showground which was basically a carnival + food fair + dog shows + equestrian competitions + woodchopping + sheep shearing + pony rides + reptile showcases + *showbags*
