What a wonderful way to spend a lovely Saturday with some old & new friends in the Jiu Jitsu Community. Congratulations to Kim 🔵, Daniel 🔵, and Courtany 🟤 on their new belts. The weather was great, the people were all welcoming, and the vibe was genuine. Proud to see Sean doing his thing and creating a strong community of Jiu Jitsu practitioners. I also got to “Fanboy” when I saw the Brian Hill (The Complete Combatant) come out to support the belt promotions. He allowed me to get the underhook for the photo 😂

The final Quest is over. I had fun seeing Scott, Brian, and AJ and meeting new friends like @teknicalmethodz

Jimmy's Cohutta Pines range is awesome and this event couldn't have run without his support and the multiple coaches that really made this event possible. Consider following and taking classes from Geddy and James.

I earned the Complete Combatant Red ant patch and a couple of MSP 3/4 patches. That's my current level of skill for this specific context.

The Complete Combatant's Red Ant patch is the next step after earning their Black Ant patch. It is effectively their Black Ant test but with movement. Every shooting test I know of that has a range token to earn is shot static. Brian's is the only one I know of that includes movement. For shooters looking for the next step or who want a test to practice movement, it's an excellent test to pursue and practice.

As usual, shooting tests for a pin/coin/token/patch are excellent motivators, but they're often the beginnings of learning excellence in fundamentals or tasks to motivate someone to start learning on their own. If you shoot competition, or practice movement already, then shooting the Red Ant Patch is freeing in practice. If you only shoot still, then it will be much harder than the regular Black Ant patch.

I earned the Red Ant patch with the Langdon Tactical PX4, which is an excellent, if uniquely aesthetic gun. For shooting wise I greatly prefer it to the 92 (but the 92 does look better, imo).

For fun I shot a different Beretta over the course of three days (which I don't recommend). I did earn an MSP 3/4 patch with a broken SRO and beat up 92 btw.

The morning of Day 3 of The FINAL Quest Event was a bit wet but AJ was still able to teach. I love this partner drill! @practical_performance_
