Year 2 ✅ What a wonderful summer on the trails with the @socaltrail Tour of LA. It's truly my favorite time of year, getting to spend a few Sundays with everyone getting dusty and sweaty on the trails. 🥲 Thank you to @blindhund and @tweissauer for putting these on for the community. I have the honor of managing these things, but it wouldn't be possible without them. 🙏 And thanks to the SoCalTrail Run Leaders for making these runs such a fun trail run experience for everyone in attendance. The summer mornings fly by with these gems around 🏆 Also a special thanks to the brand partners we've had this summer. Staying at base to hold the fort down, I probably spent more time with the reps this summer than I did the runners. You come for business, but you're SoCalTrail family in my book. Thank you for choosing to spend your summers with our community. 📸: @alonsoeldiablito Next summer might look different, but the Tour of LA is forever. 🏁

Tough Mugu 25K🌊⛰️ 3rd Women overall Finish Time: 2:13:40 🏁 wrapping up my mini trail season with a performance im super proud of 💘 it’s not just about the time and place I finished with but everything that led up to this. I’ve always flirted with trails, always finding my way to them when I needed comfort. when I needed a break from all these “fast paces” I used them as a way to “slow” down. A way to appreciate time on feet. But this time around I told myself I wanted to actually race and perform well at a trail race. Tough Mugu has always been one of my favorites so I signed up right after Boston. I spent a lot of my summer choosing trail over road and was so lucky to share miles with friends. Slowly but surely I felt it in me, I felt the strength building. 💛 Small race recap: started the morning running late. My hair was falling apart. I was scared for the heat. I pushed up every hill and aggressively attacked the downhill. I fell at mile 8. Got up and continued to grind. This is how I know my mentality is getting stronger. Super exposed by mile 12 but pushed on through. I just kept talking to myself kindly “use your marathon legs” we made it through. Don’t let anyone try to minimize your accomplishments , if they are important to you then they are important. 🫶🏼 It’s cool to CARE 🙂‍↔️ Thank you @j6flips for pulling me out of trail retirement. I really did have a lot of fun with @socaltrail this off season. ❤️‍🔥 📸: @guesssiu @_horaciooo @decerrysphotography #trailrunning #community #raymiller #trails #training

Shout out to my boy Ambrose @chillbrose and Iconic Athletix @iconicathletix for this shirt. 🤝🏽 Some messages are bigger than the clothes they’re printed on. “You belong here. Keep showing up.” I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but if you’ve been carrying more than people realize, questioning your path, or just trying to make it through another day… Keep showing up. The world doesn’t always see the battles you’re fighting, but that doesn’t make them any less real. Your presence matters. Your story matters. Your life has value. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply take the next step. This message genuinely resonated with me, and I think more people need to hear it. Keep showing up. Especially for yourself. 🤍 #DrewFit #Self1st #KeepShowingUp #MensMentalHealth #Mindset Growth YouBelongHere

Tough Topanga 15K ⛰️🏃🏽‍♀️ 1:32:15 “You signed up to do one thing and you did it” -Liddy not the way I wanted but nonetheless it got done ✔️ after running GP relay I gained some confidence on how strong I felt. I feel like “strong” is my summer word lol anyway, decided to add another race to schedule side quested so hard, I ended up Podium. Cool. morning started full of nerves and anxiety, it was going to be my first time actually “racing” a trail race and I wanted to perform. When it comes to trails, it’s really hard to gauge where I can push harder on an incline. First 3.5 miles everything felt good, my climbs were strong, I wasn’t panicking and I felt in control. One of the guys told me I was 2nd woman (side quest in a side quest, can I try to podium?) The single track was a little scary, I was trailing Josh until he passed a guy and that’s where it went downhill. I followed the guy (my fault) into what he thought was the route, branches over grown, a lot of uneven rocks on the ground, my hair was literally getting stuck in the tree branches, it wasn’t runnable. I kept saying this didn’t look right, from above me I hear Miguel telling me we went the wrong way. Lost about 7 minutes trying to figure it out. I was sooooo heartbroken and disappointed. And tbh at that moment I cried and checked out. I think it got to the point where I was just so mad at myself and I just wanted to finish and get out of there which may have subconsciously got me to speed up? Idk. I was able to catch a few people. As soon as I finished I cried again. On my drive home i cried again. Reflecting now maybe it was just my Ego being hurt and now after a few days I feel better. Thank you friends who reached out and comforted me 🫂 back to being Tough 😤 I guess theres a first time for everything 🧑🏻‍🩰 still enjoying the trails for a few more weeks 🖤 Amazing shots by @mrodmaker @decerrysphotography @alonsoeldiablito 📸 Video: @j6flips 🎥 #socaltrail #topanga #runwithuspasadena #eaglerock #trailrunner
