Vessel.exe: F-Topology brings us to a speculative post-human universe, tracing the lifecycle of the female cyborg across three distinct spatial realms—The Gallery, The Factory, and The Garden of Becoming.

Descending into the industrial core, the space shifts to a dark factory floor where fragmented bodies are mass-produced and evaluated. Non-conforming components exhibiting emotion, uncalibrated voices, or dissent are deemed defective and discarded into a void.

Reaching The Garden of Becoming, viewers encounter a mythical landscape where abandoned cyborg fragments land, awaken, and transform the space into a sanctuary.

I'm excited to share my recent film Vessel.exe: F-Topology to be exhibited at Nexus Arts Gallery in Kaurna/Adelaide.

The work is part of the exhibition "Femme.exe — Error Codes: Cyborgs don’t dream of perfection" with Thu Huong (Abigail) Nguyen.

Vessel.exe: F-Topology is a 16 minute speculative film about the female body through the lens of a futuristic cyborg manufacturing system. Set within a dystopian yet poetic future, the work examines the production of idealised synthetic vessels engineered to embody perfection, beauty, and efficiency.

Here is a video made from corrupted audio, old technological advertisements and old technological instructional videos. I have never seen a floppy disk camera but they look interesting, if cumbersome.

This is the last week to see this video and eight others like it at Praxis Artspace in Bowden, Kaurna Yerta as part of the User Interface show.

Thanks again to Chira Grasby and Aidan Hughes for inviting me to participate. It has been enjoyable and rewarding.

This video shows you what it looks like when Ableton plays a corrupt audio file. The corrupt sections look like they are being erased in real time. You can hear them, but the software doesn’t quite know what to do with them so it tries to tell you the sounds don’t exist, even though they do.

You have one more week to see the full version of this work at Praxis Artspace in Bowden on Kaurna Yerta land (last day is Saturday August 29th).

Thanks again to Chira Grasby and Aidan Hughes for putting on the show.

Here is an excerpt from my work ‘Digital Ruin Is Selective’, currently playing at Praxis Artspace, Bowden/Kaurna Yerta, Wed-Sat, 11am-4pm. The show closes on 31st August. Two weeks to go.

Curated by Chira Grasby and Aidan Hughes.

I made the footage for this video by piling spray painted floppy disks and computer instruction manuals on top of a spray painted printer.

Thanks to everyone who has seen the show so far and thanks for your nice feedback.

The video is made from footage I took of my left hand holding a radio as I wandered around inner city Adelaide in January 2025. At the time my music videos were playing on loop in an installation in the window of Filter Store and Shop Pond, alongside and amongst products from Fourth Floor Elevator. You could only listen to the music if you had a radio.

Thanks to everyone who has seen the show so far and thanks for your nice feedback. The show runs for three more weeks.

A co-curation from @chiragrasby and @aidanhughes.online

Join us this Wednesday August 5th from 6-8PM at @praxisartspace to open this exhibition. It will hopefully leave you confused, nostalgic, melancholic, and perhaps even uncomfortable 💙

‘User Interface’ dissects the visual phenomena of digital ephemera, and queries the omnipresence of internet culture in our daily lives. It examines memes, online forums, over consumption, bodily autonomy, and the overstimulation of the digital realm.

Chiranjika says, “It’s been a real pleasure to work on this show, and it’s reminding me how rewarding freelance projects are for my curatorial practice. The freedom and experimentation that comes with these opportunities is priceless, and the connections formed throughout are incredibly valuable.”
