August Diaries 🥹✨ (Birth recap below)

Maternity shoot, last minute play dates, 1 week in hospital, never got to attempt my VBAC 😔, 3rd C section, meeting bubba early.. family complete 🥹🫶🏼✨

A reminder that our plans may change, but God’s plan never does. I had always imagined having a natural, “healing” birth experience. Then one night after a week in hospital, I felt called to have another C-section 🥺 and honestly, at first, it made me feel defeated. My midwife then gave me a perspective that completely changed the way I saw it: “Maybe a healed birth experience is one that you can feel in control of.” And that I did.

Choosing another C-section was the right decision for us. It kept us both safe & alive, knowing that gave me the peace I needed. Maybe healing didn’t look the way I had imagined it would. Maybe it looked like surrendering my own plans & trusting God’s.

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is let go of the birth we thought we needed and trust the one God has chosen for us. 🤍

This made us laugh but also, it’s super adorable. Send this to another breastfeeding Mama who might have a boob-monster too.
