Misogi (禊) is a traditional Japanese Spiritual ritual of purification involving water immersion, such as standing under an icy waterfall or bathing in a river, to cleanse the body, mind, and spirit.

Rooted in ancient mythology, practitioners use pure, natural water to wash away kegare (ritual impurity or negative energy accumulated from daily life, misfortune, or illness.)
