Truly an amazing night 🤘🏼♥️ I am really just so grateful for the community @hudsonvalleypole and the amount of love & support we all give each other.

I was sooo in my head about posting this & while I know this performance isn’t perfect, I’ve come such a long way that I still feel I should share it with you all. I started working on this back in JANUARY!! My goal was to step outside of my comfort zone, shake this booty, focus on musicality & do more choreography than my last performance (last year i essentially just did a bunch of tricks, a literal body wave & hair flip stressed me tf out 😂). I had a blast this year & can see that the hard work is paying off. The growth is insane!

HUGE thank you to @moxielynne_pole & @bethspole for helping me put together this performance as well as @theonlyprovider who helped me clean so much of it up in open studios & was genuinely one of my biggest supporters while I worked on this.

Also huge shoutout to @chris.rahm for always taking such great videos & photos for our events. I’m so looking forward to seeing our pictures next!!

And big thank you to my partner, friends and clients who came to support me. I’m grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people who support everything I do!!

Behind the scenes on production for “The Keeper”.

By the time we got around to shooting this film we had already shot hundreds of hours on the Hudson producing Hudson River Stories for @jonbowermaster and had really gotten the hang of it. We usually split up into two units with one camera aboard the Fletcher and another on a follow boat, usually on a gimbal. Occasionally we’d mix in some aerials but we had started to get bored of drone work as we found it had become a crutch and a stand in for more thoughtfully produced shots. We’ve been getting a lot of feedback over how pretty the film is but honestly, the river itself, in the right light and weather is 90% of the formula.

I wanted to share some of shots I filmed on my recent trip to Colombia. This was such a meaningful trip - the beauty of the people, the nature, the friends I made, and the inspirational people I worked with. I am filled with gratitude! I have long wanted to work on my filming skills, and deciding to make a film on plants and wise women has been exactly the inspiration I needed to do so. I lot to learn, and I am grateful to my local filming heroes Fred McCragg, Samantha Schutz and Chris Rahm (who all worked on the Nature of Nature), and for the support of Mustafa who really does it all! I am looking forward to sharing the stories of these wise women, and their conversations with the plants, animals and the earth. I can’t wait to introduce you to Madre the most loving woman I have ever met, (who you will see a brief shot of at the end of this clip), Celine for bringing me into her magical world, and Madre’s incredible family who I am happy now to call my own Colombian family. Gracias todos! #colombia #colombiana #hummingbirds #hummingbirdsofinstagram #SensitivePlant #sensitiveplant #elpeñol #elpeñolantioquia #calalily #garden

👠 What if loving your body started with play?

For Love Frequency month, we met Kingston’s own burlesque star Ginger Maraschino (aka Steph G) at Camp Kingston @campkingston to talk self-love, pleasure, and the radical power of being seen.

She didn’t enter burlesque chasing a spotlight — she found it in 2020, searching for a way back into her body at Hudson Valley Pole @hudsonvalleypole.

“Pole taught me to love my body for what it could do, not just what it looked like,” she says.

From stage kitten to singer to producer, Ginger now brings burlesque home to Kingston — creating shows at spots like Darlings @darlingsny that center safety, agency, and joy.

Her philosophy?
Sexy doesn’t have to mean sultry. It can be silly. It can be playful. It can be yours.

“Go watch someone with a body just like yours be absolutely adored,” she says. “It recalibrates you.”

Offstage, she shops local at The Red Foxxx (check out some of her favorite lingerie) and she lives by one unapologetic rule:

“I’d rather love the way I look naked than the way I look in clothes.”

Not a manifesto. A permission slip. 💋

💃 Catch Ginger in Action @gingermaraschino 💋 Next show coming on May 23rd for the "Hudson Valley Burlesque Bash" @assemblykingston

All five episodes of @TED series HOW TO BE A BETTER HUMAN by @chrisiduffy are now all available for you to enjoy online! Link in bio. The first documentary-hosted video series of its kind for TED, this show is an adaptation of Chris’ popular podcast where he brings smart and fascinating people on to ask one simple question: how are you working on becoming a better human for yourself and for others?

Thank you to producers @arlissaleeanna @hijanetlee and director @banchengy for bringing me on as the series DP 🎥🌞. From the moment I first interviewed with Ban and Janet, I felt an immediate connection and creative trust, which trickled down to our crew, who became a traveling family. I already miss my chats with Ban, as we problem-solved through some of the most ambitious shots we could think of and had so much fun discovering along the way. Five cities, in 2 months. From Bolinas, Albany, Portland, Columbus & Minneapolis, we captured some amazing artists, minds, and artisans, @bonnietsui8 @edithzimmermans @gottmaninstitute @nifmuhammad @kaysarahsera @spoonfulrecords @owamni @the_sioux_chef

We surfed, ran, went to therapy, attended a poetry reading, and enjoyed some fine dining - each episode had its own bespoke personality which I wouldn’t have been able to pull off without my incredible local crew in each city and of course, my assistant camera @nsnelson16 and @rarebreedswest who always make me look so professional. Getting to work with local crew including DPs and gaffers whom I’ve admired for some time now, was incredibly special, as we just played and captured “for good.” So much to say about each talent below, but, thank you for showing me how fun it is to work as a big team.

The video you’ve ALL been waiting for- this year’s Halloween Heels group number to “Oral Hex” by @bludnymph - I hope we did her song proud! 👻 The minute I heard this song last year I knew it would make the perfect s3xy choice for this. The theme was a character that would cast a spell, and make it h0e of course. These babes showed up, gave their all for hours, and didn’t disappoint. Thanks to @hudsonvalleypole for being the place that brings us all together and supports the roots of pole. And a million thanks to @chris.rahm for bringing this creative vision to life and making these babes look like the absolute rock stars they are. #hudsonvalleypole #halloweenheels #oralhex #heels1 #heels101
