When I started at @elevate3sixty in 2020 (as its first ever client), I was unfit and riddled with back injuries which made bending down to pick up the bar difficult! In the following five years I’ve written and published a reasonably priced and critically acclaimed book about Swans (link in bio). I’ve also got stronger, meaning I can deadlift 100kg and that my once baggy black t-shirt is now bursting at the seams. Thank you to all the E3S coaches for turning me into an official beefcake 🥩

Come join me and the @elevate3sixty team for the E3S half marathon 🙌🏼🚣🏼⛷️

It was Wokingham Half marathon today, but as we were unable to race it, we decided to take on a different challenge and either row or ski the distance instead!

Absolutely amazing effort from @mike_e3s on the ski erg, and @chris_e3s and @michaelasummers_ on the rowers 👏🏼

I finished in roughly 1hr26mins which I am more than happy with!

Target set for next time 👀⌚

When should we increase the weight we’re lifting?

1) When we can move with good quality, through full range of motion and maintain control through our whole set.

2) When we feel that we have more than 4 reps left in the tank!

Small increments at a time will have a compounding effect. E3S ensure that the programme and coaching will guide you in progression and understanding when to push and when to dial it back 👊

Meet the Coach: Chris 🏃‍♂️🍒🏋️‍♂️
Good afternoon team. It's time to shine the spotlight on Head Coach Chris 🔦

🔥 Why is exercise important to you?
To chase @nick_e3s tail around HYROX in under 60 minutes.

Sport and training have always played a very pivotal role in my life. It’s a real privilege to be able to connect with people through all types of fitness, work hard and feel great afterwards. And something I plan to continue through all steps of life, hence being strong, fit and healthy are key.

📚 What does Chris do at E3S?
Chris is the head coach at Elevate3sixty and is the architect to writing your sessions and looking after the coaches here.

He has a degree in Sports Science and Masters in Sports Performance. This interest in training, a keen eye for detail and a fire to help people achieve better has been key in his journey to becoming an Elevate3sixty coach.

🤝 Favourite type of training:
Pulling the pin far too early in a conditioning piece 60% of the time, every time.

🎉 Fun Facts:
Loves a deadlift, bang average runner & can tie a cherry stalk into a knot in his mouth.
