so happy to be sharing this album artwork photoshoot for @iamchrisibitch on her debut album “where do we go from here” out TODAY :) details in chrisi’s bio x

chrisi is an intersectional feminist rap artist who describes the album as “a reckoning with the pain caused by male violence, and a confrontation with my own complicity. It is at times helpless, at other times hopeful. It is full of anger and hate, but also full of radical love, tenderness and care”.

It’s been such amazing journey as a photographer for me to help bring chrisi’s visual world to life, from four single covers to capturing live shows to crafting the visual elements of the show itself. it feels clear to me i love working with artists in this way—helping to build that visual world. 🖤🖤🖤

also thank you to my studio assistant @ruthroxannephoto for this shoot x

my debut album is out today!

What a milestone.

It’s called “where do we go from here” and maps out the last decade of my life. Everything I’ve had to learn about the systems that shape and define every aspect of our lives: patriarchy, capitalism and white supremacy.

“where do we go from here” is a reckoning with the pain caused by male violence, and a confrontation with my own complicity. It is at times helpless, at other times hopeful. It is full of anger and hate, but also full of radical love, tenderness and care.

But above all it is resistance.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate this body of work with me on Wednesday. Thanks for resisting with me. May we have the strength to never let these bastards grind us down.

In solidarity,
chrisi

Big thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for such a special show ✨
Celebrating Women’s Month as part of the Reigning Women Festival at @tomvenue
For this performance, I had the honour of producing tracks and visuals to accompany the poems of these wonderful artists:
@anaisylla - 🇫🇷
@caroljackvocals – 🇬🇧(performed my poem Moons)
@ms.christinaschaffer - 🇩🇪/ 🇺🇸
@daisy_aserena - 🇧🇷
@transicoes_ecologicas - 🇧🇷

It’s so important that our voices can be amplified - and that we keep amplifying one another ⚡️
And a big thank you to the incredible @taliahunter28 for joining me on cello and Lauren Housego, who created the animation for “We Don’t Need You Anymore” and collaborated with me on the visuals 💎
