The Aimasia Residence designed by @a31.architecture is an exceptional piece of architecture. Nestled just above Elia Beach in Mykonos on a 14,000 m² plot, Aimasia is more than a luxury villa — it’s an architectural dialogue with the island’s heritage and terrain. In Greek, ‘Aimasia’ refers to the ancient dry‑stone walls that crisscross the Cycladic landscape — the very walls built by generations of farmers to cultivate, protect, and shape the land. In this house, that tradition becomes the spine of the design, creating a house out of the ordinary. We had the privilege to tour the villa; a tour you can watch on our Restless Living YouTube channel right now. Link in bio.

We were invited by architect Jochen Lendle @jle_arquitectos to explore the incredible home named Project 1323 in Mallorca. This industrial-inspired finca reinterprets the traditional Mallorcan vernacular and proposes a living experience of playfulness, immersiveness and discovery. @christiantrampe especialy enjoyed the 50 m2 hammock. What is your favorite? Vote below. We filmed a full house tour of the project, which you can find on our YouTube channel. Link in bio!

When we first started to make a YouTube channel, @christiantrampe ‘s channel @restless.arch was an admirable project - and still is!

So when he wrote us at @wearelendager to ask if he could feature our summer house Re-Treat we got really excited!

This project consists of five connected buildings designed with circular principles, harmonizing with the natural surroundings. Each building offers uninterrupted sea views and direct access to a wooden terrace that bridges the retreat with nature.

The structural frame and rafters are crafted from recycled, fire-treated wood, repurposed from its original role as part of a children’s hospital in Copenhagen.

The facade is crafted from waste wood, putting its durability to the test in the harsh Nordic climate. Aesthetic appeal and resilience to the elements are essential, achieved through a centuries-old Japanese wood preservation technique. By burning the surface of the wood, the process reduces susceptibility to pests and fungi, while delivering a one-of-a-kind visual texture—each piece telling its own story through its unique charred patterns.

Watch the full video on Restless Living’s youtube to get a full tour of the house.

We toured the architectural home named Re-Treat where the connection to nature is undeniable. The use of recycled materials not only reduces its environmental footprint but also complements the rugged charm of its Danish seaside surroundings. The impregnation method of Shou Sugi Ban was applied to the exterior façades; giving a unique aesthetic to the architecture. You can watch the tour on our YouTube channel, Restless Living.
