Safe to say we did not come here to survive on hot dogs and granola bars

From yakitori and bánh mì chảo to rabokki, kimchi jjigae, kimchi fried rice and way too many “snacks,” this glamping trip turned into a full-on Asian food fest at Lytle Creek Villas.

Ở Lytle Creek Villas, tụi mình gần như chỉ cần mang theo đồ ăn, thức uống và quần áo rồi tận hưởng cuối tuần thôi. Họ chuẩn bị rất chu đáo — từ đồ dùng cần thiết trong phòng tắm, củi đốt, khăn và chăn ga dự phòng, cho đến nước ngọt và nước suối miễn phí đã có sẵn trong tủ lạnh.

Đây thật sự là một chuyến nghỉ cuối tuần rất tiện và thoải mái cho gia đình, mà tuyệt hơn nữa là nơi này còn cho phép mang theo thú cưng. 🐶🤍

RV glamping might be my new favorite way to camp because everything is already set up for you. 🏕️

At Lytle Creek Villas, we basically just showed up with food, drinks, and clothes and got to enjoy the weekend. They seriously thought of everything — bathroom essentials, firewood, extra towels and bedding, plus complimentary sodas and waters waiting in the fridge.

It made for such an easy weekend getaway with family, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly made it even better. 🐶🤍

Tụi mình đã dành 48 tiếng glamping tại Lytle Creek Villas, chỉ cách Los Angeles khoảng 1 tiếng lái xe, và mình thật sự không ngờ lại có một nơi nghỉ dưỡng như thế này gần thành phố đến vậy.

Episode 1 of my camping series 🌲

We spent 48 hours glamping at Lytle Creek Villas, just about an hour outside of LA, and I seriously had no idea a getaway like this was so close to the city.

From a spacious RV with all the comforts of home, to private creek access just minutes from our campsite, plus a hiking trail that leads to Bonita Falls — this little weekend escape had a little bit of everything. 🏕️

The rain said “cancel date night” and we said “absolutely not.”

So we stayed home, ordered Armenian food from Black Jack Market, and accidentally turned the night into a full-blown food tasting situation.

If you’ve never had Armenian food before YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

Savory, comforting, fresh, a little sweet, a little chaotic — basically everything we want in a dinner.

At one point we stopped talking and just started nodding at each other while eating, which is how you know it’s serious.

The one day in Bali that it rained nonstop.

I almost canceled the sunrise photoshoot you planned for us because I didn’t want to trek through the rain and mud. If you had asked younger me what getting proposed to would look like, I would’ve painted a picture straight out of a fairytale.

Instead, my hair was soaked, my makeup had washed away, and my dress was covered in mud. I spent the morning worrying about how imperfect I looked.

But when I look back on that day, I don’t think about any of that.

I think about you turning to me, smiling, and telling me how beautiful I looked.

I used to think the perfect proposal meant perfect weather, perfect photos, and a perfect moment.

Instead, God gave me rain.

And maybe that was the lesson all along.

Because life won’t always be sunny. Plans will change. Things will go wrong. We’ll have seasons that feel more like storms than fairytales.

But on the day I said yes, I realized I wasn’t being given a perfect moment.

I was being given the right person to walk through every imperfect one with.
