Nobody tells you this when you start a business: the money isn't the best part. It's the people. The friends who call you out, cheer you on, and refuse to let you play small. Ten years from now, who you became will matter more than what you earned.

What if you could DOUBLE your joy and your revenue?

For a long time, I thought making more money meant giving more of myself.

More hours. More pressure. More sacrifice.

But building my speaking business changed that.

I went from zero to $1 million in speaking fees in my first two years. And along the way, I discovered something I wish I’d understood sooner:

You don’t have to sacrifice your life to build a successful business.

You can do work that lights you up.

Make money that changes your options.

And build a business that gives you MORE freedom, not less.

That’s why I’m teaching the exact framework I used at my Million Dollar Speaker event, November 6–7.

If you want to build a speaking business that pays you well AND gives you a life you love, I’d love to show you how.

Comment MILLION and I’ll send you all the details.

Doors close soon. ❤️

Let’s make this the year you stop choosing between joy and revenue.

And shout out to @loriharder and @chriswharder for asking us this question yesterday.

We recently experienced the FOUND trip with the most extraordinary group of Entreprenuers & it has taken me a bit to post about it because it is hard to find the words to describe how life-changing it was✨ The conversations were deep, the experiences were incredible (including a ‘90’s Day where we all placed our phones in a bag at breakfast & did not check them until after dinner)! Between touring a the beautiful McKinney Family Vineyard & ziplining, the deep-belly laughs, the stunning scenery… the lifelong friendships with people that understand… life-changing.
Thank you @chriswharder & team! #found

After spending a day with Chris on the launch of FOUND trips, so much changed for me. @chriswharder effortlessly brought together an intimate room of brilliant minds & entrepreneurs who value intention and connection.

Spending a day with this group sparked new ideas, higher ceilings, and inspiration from people who’ve been through the fire too.

I’ve since been sharing about his upcoming FOUND trips with fellow entrepreneurs because I want them to experience what everyone in that room did.

Thanks Chris, for all you do and who you bring together!

Social proof is what we’re all chasing after.

And there’s no better way to establish yourself as the authority in your field, than with a book.

Chris Harder has this rare gift - he makes you feel like the most important person in the room. And then you turn around and Rob Dyrdek is standing right there. Zip lining through Santa Barbara with nine strangers who became people you’d call at midnight. Wine tasting, real conversations, no pretending. Watching the sun drop into the Pacific, then bodysurfing like nothing else existed. But this is what I’ll remember most. Nine entrepreneurs. Different industries, different cities, same obsession. Build something that matters. Make good money. Do great things with it. Turns out that’s not rare. You just have to find your people.

Everyone assumes the worst day of my career involved a market. Mine involved a payroll spreadsheet.

March 2009. I had the financial licenses, and knew more than most people in the room, and still I sat at my desk with my face in my hands.

Payroll was due the next morning. My mother had retired from a brilliant career and was working my front desk, and her name was first on that list.

What I felt was not panic. It was shame, because I was supposed to be the person who understood how this worked.

It took years before I could say the number out loud.

Send this to the founder who looks completely fine from the outside.

A love letter to my sacred business owner sisters. (+ everyone following us)❤️

I want to celebrate you for listening to that voice inside. For some it was easy. For others like myself it took years of struggles, doubts, and chronic pain before I dared to listen.

I was terrified. Who am I without my monthly salary? Am I good enough? Will anyone come? Do I not need a couple more certificates first? Maybe save up more money in case it all goes to shit..

Rings a bell?

It takes so much courage to leave the safety and stability. But we did it.
I celebrate you for daring to show up online. For sharing your truth, your offerings, your heart’s work. It took years, decades, a lifetime to transmute your pain into your superpower. And then to overcome that blocked throat chakra and actually start sharing your story.. I know how terrifying that is.

And I know the fear of pressing post. What if no one likes it. I will feel like a failure. Maybe I go back to my old job.

It takes nervous system regulation, a mentor, or a coven that gets you and can hold you when things go to shit. And celebrate you when you overcome fear after fear.

Here’s what I wish more people understood:
If you knew what it actually takes to build a business from your heart, you would show up more for your friends.

A like. A heart. A comment. A share. If you knew how much it means when friends show up for you, I think we would all do it more.

So can we all show up more for each other?
Join their offering. Buy their product. Maybe even without asking for a discount because you are their friend. And if not, pass the word to someone who might be interested.

Why support big corporations and celebs we dont even know when we have so many epic small business owners who actually care about you and this planet?

Celebrate your friends who dared to leave the 9-5 and work twice as hard for something they believe in.

If we all live, share, breathe, sing, and support from our hearts.. this world will change. Promise.

To my sacred business owner sister- I know it’s chaotic at times. You got this. I believe in you. Never give up.

A friend asked why I was starting another business. He knew financially, I didn't NEED to.

I told him the truth, which is that I tried being done and I was bored inside a week. I do not fish. I am bad at golf. Stopping was never what I was after.

He said, 'so you just want work to be optional'.

I nearly stopped the car in the middle of Tuscany.

That is the term we have used ever since, and it is not retirement. Almost nobody who reaches it actually stops working. What changes is that you get to say when, who with, and where. The work can look identical from the outside while the pressure underneath it is gone.

Here is the test, and it takes about ten seconds. If the business stopped tomorrow, could you keep the life you have?

Most owners find that a harder question than they expected.

Thanks to @chriswharder and @loriharder for having @trishcalandra1 and I on the podcast!

Saturday afternoons my sister and I played Monopoly on the living room floor. When we heard the kitchen door close we knew what it meant.

Our parents were in there with all the bills laid out on the table, deciding which ones would be paid that month. Not all of them. Which ones.

Then the yelling started, and we would go outside and play until it was over. It did not matter what the weather was doing.

They were loving parents and we had a good childhood. We did not know we were poor. We had food, clothes, two dogs, bikes that had belonged to somebody else first.

What we had instead was the certainty that there was never going to be enough.

That belief does not leave when your income changes. Plenty of the women I sit with now run excellent businesses and are still carrying some version of it.

Send this to someone who grew up hearing the same three words.
